Yost 1104 drill press vise

I had been looking for a drill press vise for some time, looking on Craigslist and what not but had come up empty. So enter the Yost 1104 bought from Amazon for about $40. Over all not bad for the price, has minor casting issues but it functions perfectly for my needs. Not sure how I feel about the swivel base but it does work, and is removable. Thought I'd share as I couldn't find much info on this particular vise with a quick search.

Nice little vice! Does the quick release on the swivel allow for positioning as well?

Yes, it will slide the length of the vise and swivel a full 360. I haven't used that feature yet but I'd imagine it would be very useful for small work.

I'm surprised you didn't find anything on c-list, but nonetheless, nice looking Yost, I like the swivel feature!

The vintage Yankee brand DP vises are fairly common in that size range...that's what I have on my DP...
