It's probably made from melted down used brake rotors and MSG, just like new brake rotors and HF rolling cabinets.

Anyways, yes you can argue that the metals and processes arent as stellar if done outside the USA. But most these vises will last a average DIY a lifetime.

Buy a USA one if possible, sure. But these are pretty good, available now, and a good value.
