Putting together my Christmas Wish List for family and friends and noticed Yost RIA-4 vise on sale at sears for 1/2 price and toss a $5 off coupon on top of that it seems like one hell of a deal.

Then I went to playing on the manufacture website and noticed it is NOT USA made like 99% of their other vises....

No one is going to be able to afford to buy me a USA made vise for christmas, so the question is should I put this YOST on my list because they are a quality brand and ignore the fact it isn't USA made?

Or is it going to be Junk and should remove it from my christmas list and wait until one day I find a Wilton vise used for almost free?

I'd skip it just because it is a tiny vise. Though it has 4" jaws it only opens to a little over 2" and has a similar depth. Wait for something better.

Yost's reversable jaw vises look nice and are USA made. They are $200-330 depending on size from Northern. About the lowest price for a USA mad vise new.

It's an upgrade from what I have now, at least in some aspects, so I got it. I have limited space so it will work for me. When I need something bigger, I don't mind getting a new Wilton or waiting for a great deal.
