Thanks, guys. As goofy as it is, that was exactly how I felt after cutting into my garage floor and tearing out the tile I'd set and concrete that had been there since 1925 -- then digging out 3000 pounds of it before mixing 2000 pounds of readi-mix, pouring it and figuring out (more or less) how to get it into the right shape. By the time I was done setting and grouting the last of the new tiles, seeing the lift bring the car up and down so effortlessly was like witnessing a miracle. :bounce:

Now, the funny part is if you had seen my hiding down behind the center bench, a bare 24V lead in each hand and a garage door remote in my mouth, counting out (more or less) the time I needed to sit there doing nothing before raising, lowering and door-closer-activating so it would work with the music.

My wife thought I was nuts.

are any of you guys making money off of the ad programs??

I've made around $250 in the past year for the videos that I have on youtube. I have one that has over 200k views. I can't imagine how much those videos with tens of millions of hits make per year.

Lots, I'm nowhere near that and I make enough to pay our mortgage each month.

I did see something a couple years back about YT's top earners and Australia's top YT earner was just in the top ten with over $100,000 per year. I think the top earner overall was over $300,000. And that's without endorsements or product placement.

I don't think I'll ever hit that mark but it would be nice to make enough so I could pay the home loan and buy stuff (read: project cars) to make more interesting videos. :)
