Ok so I liked tools but had never really paid attention or looked for tools when at estate sales, garage sales, auctions etc. But after finding this forum I have been looking. As luck would have it an estate sale popped up at the end of my street. I bought all of the items in the picture for $15. Mainly "V" Craftsman (the ratchets are stamped "rebuilt" and most everything has the gentlemans initials stamped in them. There was also a scattering of Industro Super, Bonney, Proto, Vermont American, Wright, Wizard, and some no name USA and no name Japan. Tappet wrenches, sockets, extensions, ratchets, screwdriver. Not pictured is was a craftsman drill bit set in metal case and the no name stuff I gave to my son. This got me seriously talking to my mother about getting my dads tools. I will start another thread about that.

Yes Yes it is...my wife keeps saying "Are you looking at that garage site again?!" I also have found that one of the local gun/pawn stores has a ton of tools...and sells sockets for $1...bought one...so far. I have not dug through the rest of his piles to see what he has...but I will...and everytime I pass the other pawn stores I have a very strong urge to stop and see what thier prices are like. I have resisted but now I am off on Mondays while the wife is working...the urge is sure to become unmanageable!

Yeah, me too! I have bought so much in the last 30 days that I cannot keep up with posting stuff on GJ for you guys to see. I haven't even posted the stuff I bought when I was visiting Bull's neighborhood in Massachusetts, in mid August!

This past week I was out visiting flea markets, farmer markets, etc, promoting my upcoming flea market in Troy, Ohio. So I went to White's Flea Mkt on Wed in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, then the Black Powder shoot & Flea Mkt in Friendship Indiana on the same day. Friday AM at Rogers Flea Mkt in northern Ohio, then on to an auction in Amish country. Lots of yard sales along the way. And I found LOTS of good tools at amazing prices.

I had decided to not buy any more tools till I get the previous piles sorted out. But then a fellow GJ member suggested I should keep buying...just get pickier and refuse to buy anything unless the prices were lower than my usual level. I went with that plan, but continued to end up with plenty of Snap On, Plomb, etc.

This addiction thing is real!

I need to get some more boxes for sure. I did get the black habor freight service cart when i had a super cuopon for $99 but thats not going to hold much. We bought this house in May and the former owners left me an old buffet in the garage. The drawers are nice for my air tools and odds and end while the top is holding the stereo and all my battery chargers. The guy who lived here from 1966 to 2008 bulit the garage and everywhall is floor to ceiling pegboard so that helps too but I am cerianly feeling the urge for more boxes...first a middle box for my Craftsman unit...and keeping my eyes open for a used box deal. Plus of course now I want a shed to get the yard and storage items out of the garage...and about that floor...
