And do I have a mess for you all!

Hey guys and girls.
I'm from Missouri and am rebuilding an old 100+ schoolhouse for me and my daughter to live in. Most of it (80%) is fine but what needs work is the really big stuff. Foundation, joist, stone work, leveling, etc...

But here's the kicker. I just had a stroke past December and all my memory banks are mixed. So just bare with me and I'll not try to confuse ya all or try to not comprehend what I'm needing.

Many more pics to post soon and thank ya all.

Blogman: post pictures as you can and ask questions if you need help. Since it's a future home more than a garage maybe starting a thread in the Free Parking part of our forum might be the correct spot to post pictures with questions. this intro thread gets a few of us members to see it, but the above section might be better.

you can post pictures in both spots if you like and i'm guessing you meant a 100+ year old schoolhouse. yes? best of luck and my guess is the wood is way better than you can buy if the bugs haven't had a chance to start eating it so best of luck with all the parts you mentioned.

also hope this forum has a positive influence on your health and memory. i know i learn something here daily and because of this forum my memory loss isn't as much as it was without it.

cheers

Lol, yeah. I guess I forgot that part.
Thanks for responding. I forget some words or get them mixed up, my bad. I'll try to proofread as best as I can. Some days are better than most.

Thanks.

Blogman: when i start to get a bit down because my memory or other things are not quite as easy as they were 40 or 50 years ago i look for songs like this one i'm posting a youtube video of.

i hope it brings a smile to your face and things can always be worse so live the best you can and best of luck with that project and i know your daughter will be there smiling as you get things looking a bit better.

cheers and let me know if you like this little video as much as i do.

Howdy BLogman. Posting pics will probably be your best bet. I'm guessing most of these guys will notice stuff nobody else would and help you out.

Welcome to the GJ, the rebuild sounds great. I can't wait for the pictures. Sorry to hear about the stroke, I am sure that you will get some great advice, probably some ignorant advice as well. Just don't let it discourage you. The GJ is a great place!
