Okay, say you had a team of engineers that could build for you any tool or accessory that you could think up. What would you ask for?

I'd want a portable handheld combo air cleaner/filter/fume extractor that would allow me to do more types of work in my apartment without risking my health.

A tool that automatically smacks my roomates when they leave tools outside or pile non-garage stuff in the garage.

More realistic would be a cheaper inductance based device that would heat a stuck nut or bolt up. Torch is ok but some are near flammable materials

Let's just say that I have many hobbies.

Sanding, painting, paint stripping, grinding - four activities that produce byproducts that you don't want anywhere near where you eat, sleep, or browse the internet.

He didn't mention an odor neutralizer, so it would be stupid to use a fume extractor and risk getting caught.

Whoops... Followed a Google shopping link for $260 - which turned out to be the filters...

Smokeless ashtray, you need a fan and some kind of media like charcoal to blow through, or just a long vent to a window. If its not too lethal use the fan over the stove with maybe a plastic sheet or cardboard box shell.

I'd like circuit breaker panels to come with a little snap fit plastic cover, maybe even hinged, for those big scarey main lugs where the power comes in from the meter. Every time i add a new circuit they stare at my like the mechanical eyes that they are and I know sooner or later they are going to hypnotize me into grabbing two shiney metal allen keys and with one in each hand decide it's a good time to tighten them at the same time.

I'd like a folding knife with a locking blade on one end and a pry tool on the other. I don't want the bulk of a multitool, but neither do I want a prying knife like an Atwood Bug Out blade.

It's my ambition to develop the skills to make one myself.

Nothing says do not touch to me quite like opening up an big electrical panel, except that mine looks like the wiring was done by a 10 year old.

OTOH few accidents happen at intersections where the hazard is obvious. Things like push in terminal outlets invite fools to play with electricity in a foolish manner.

Let's see....let's invent a way for people without the mechanical aptitude to bend a loop in wire and tighten a screw can do home wiring.

Skill has a lithium ion one. I only wish it was Bosch and used the 10.8 volt batteries. I picked it up the other day as I am STILL having back issues, from three weeks ago.

I had a tool maker come by a few weeks ago to come up with some solutions to save me labor time. I've also been making sketches of stuff I'd like to have, but I don't have the know-how to make or to even imagine if my idea can be turned into an actual tool. At any rate, I think tool-making is one of the most interesting jobs you can have. It's technical and skilled, but it's also creative.

Open the cover and the only live components are screws set into the breaker terminals. The live rails are covered, and switched where the feed from the meter enters the breaker box, so they can be isolated before changing a breaker.

Short of sticking a knife through the insulation from the feeds, you'd have to try very hard to shock yourself.
