I have his Maker Knife cause I needed it. That screwdriver, I definitely don't need it, not at that price anyway.

I need my fingers, the ones not involved in the action, to be accommodated though!

So,it’s a screwdriver with a bearing on the end and a flyweight on the shaft.
Most of us could make one of we wanted one

Dumbest thing I've seen on here in a while.
Not only do I not need it, I don't want it.

It's kind of cool, maybe back in the day before cordless tools it would have been more desirable. I don't think I'd ever reach for that before any of the red cordless tools I currently own.

Definitely a precision screwdriver. Could be useful for hobbies. Certainly not going to be useful around the house or in the garage - too small.

Nearly 2,200 people have taken him up on his offer, though. Pretty crazy.

He's got a pretty good following so I suspect all his crowdfunding projects will do good in sales. I even used to subscribe to his YT channel before all of these.

He sure is good at marketing. His video for the Maker Knife was good too, "the utility knife that didn't have a bottle opener". Heck I bought 2. No screwdriver for me though.

I saw on IG that someone already made their own.

Yeah, it's been in the back of my head all day... I don't have a real need for it at all and can't justify the cost in the slightest, but would love to use one enough to get a feel for it- seems like an interesting concept.

It would make a great fidget spinner.

I still don't understand fidget toys. Some are cool but I don't have time to fidget. I guess I could understand those that do fidget but I sure wouldn't be spending money on something to satisfy a bad habit. Are fidget spinners still popular? I figure it would be a trend that would eventually die out.

I don't know you, but I could see this being useful in a few instances. One is when disassembling/reassembling computer components, especially on older industrial hardware. Sometimes you come across a screw and you don't realize how long it is. There are other cases, also working in automation where you cannot use power tools for one reason or another. I would say that most of the small powered bit screwdrivers can easily fill the role that this serves, but I bet I could spin this screwdriver at least twice as fast as most of them.

a fidget spinner, indeed

i feel pretty good about electric screwdrivers with clutches.

but you know what, it seems like it could be a decent tool, but hard to really know without using it.

if you're screwing in something sensitive and just let it rip, how strong is the jolt when that flywheel comes to a stop when the screw bottoms out? will it easily cam out or damage the screw?

and how torquey is it? is it completely useless if there's any friction in the thread?

could it be useful for small screws in electronics (cellphone, laptop) work?

that brass balance would be too bulky to poke with... fun probably not as useful.

I like the tool, but it's only useful in a few small use cases, at least in my life. If you did a lot of small electronics assembly and disassembly, it could be very nice to have.

I love the commercial, though.

Why would anyone buy tools on kickstarter? oh yeah to put it on display and never use it.

Looks more like a throwing dart to me, probably better as one too.

It is a pretty thing. Would be fun to just have on the computer desk to play with while on conf calls... but not for 75E.

If this had Snap-on stamped into the side of it all the fanboys would be justifying the price.
