You know when you are a tool junky when you meet your future wife and she asks you "What are you thinking at this very moment?" And you reply "Sears is having a big tool sale".

You know when you are a tool junky when you spot a tool in the middle of interstate I-90 and you face oncoming death in order to get that tool.

you know when you are a tool junky when you sneak that new purchase in the house at 2am in the morning.

You run to Tractor Supply, Advanced Auto, Lowes, Harbor Freight, chasing down 9.99 IR tools, Gearwrench clearance, Hose reels and Gladiator Garage cabinets, and best yet, the cluster eff they called a compressor sale!! :bounce:

You keep them hidden in your trunk untill your wife is not around. About 10 years ago I bought the Black Husky Rollaway from Home Depot. About 2 weeks ago my wife notices it in the Garage, and says "where did that come from"? But dear I've had it for years.

You actually own tools that are made just to fix other tools?!
or
You have a stack of tool catalogs, within arms reach of the porcelain throne!
or
Every time you start firefox, or IE..... GJ is a dedicated tab when it opens and it is also a bookmark on your menu!

You know you're a tool junky when you you could do something the easy way, but go a more complicated route in the project just so you have an excuse to buy a tool. When the wife asks, just tell her it's the only way do it correctly and it's much cheaper me buying that tool than paying someone to come do it for you.

Ha ha, same here. I'm at Sears almost every week trying to find new clearance items. They all know me. CL is my fav. for used tools.

how about when your toolbox and it contents are more than your wifes car. now I know many of you are thinking thats no big deal, but my wifes car is a new CLK convertable

how about when your tools value is equal to about 5 years of your pay
