You wonder why the Snapon truck doesn't have music like the ice cream truck.

One of my customers is a busing company. Tool distributors are not allowed to walk into the shop. We have to pull up & wait for the techs to come out. I've already added flashing LED lights & have been looking on E-Bay for an ice cream truck misic box.

Pick different music from the lunch truck or things could get ugly.

When you're sick as a dog,and STILL go out to the garage to look at your tools.
When you see any tool, any where, and figure out where it would go in your box(es).
When you swear you'll NEVER restore another car or bike or anything, then along comes that old, dented,SO box and rollcab............
The first thing you would look at in Jay Leno's garage would be the tools.

When your favorite quote is the one you learned in anthropology class: "What separates man from animals is man's use of tools."

(OK, OK, yes, there are some other animals, primarily monkeys, that are handy with a few tools, but nowhere do you see tool-centric societies amongst the primates, as you do with the humans. Thus the anthropologists are fond of calling man, "homo faber," the "tool fabricator." In a nutshell, owning tools is proof of your being a real human. Those who don't own or use tools, well, their status is questionable.)

LOL!

When you are going out of town on a business trip and you plan ahead by scanning craig's list in that area prior to going! Then, you plan your stops on the plane and dream about all the good deals you will find while driving to the 1st stop!

Good greif I did that last month, went to visit my son in Fort Drum NY and drove 70 miles each way to buy a set of SO 3/4 sockets and as a bonus bought partial sets of SO, mac and john deere wrenches. Didn't know I had it till I found this forum last week. Well, at least its not illegal. Fatfillup

Your wife threatens divorce over another tool purchase.

Your 5 year old son informs you that mom is going to be mad when she finds out you bought another tool, and you bribe him to keep with hot wheels to keep him quiet.

Your Snap On dealer has your phone number on his speed dial.

When you decide that it would be a good idea to build a bedroom in the garage because you would rather sleep next to your tools than sleep with your wife.

You realize that you don't own enough tools, so, you buy a tool truck & become a distributor.

Even after driving a tool truck around all week you still make the tool isles at Harbor Freight, Sears, Home Depot, etc. your 1st stop when you go in to them.

Bingo, I did the same thing.

I find myself looking on other peoples tool trucks for tools I dont have and ideas of what to buy. :lol_hitti

When you find a treasure trove of cool old tools at an estate sale for next to nothing and you want to buy them and get out of there as quick as possible before anything can sabotage the deal.

When you look forward to spending an afternoon reorganizing your toolbox, or filling another old toolbox.

When you ignore the looks of disgust from the folks at the pawnshop when you ask for a stool or chair to sit on while you dig thru thousands of Taiwan sockets in hopes of finding just a few USA made.

You know the only reason your marriage lasts, is because you get some quality time with your tools/garage.:bounce:

When you come to a screeching halt on a busy roadway, nearly causing accidents, to stop and pick up a tool laying on the side of the road.

I don't have good enough luck. I've only found one wrench on the road and it was a POS "Tough" brand.:dunno:

When part of the reason you go to Pull-A-Part is to see if you can find any lost tools in the yard! :bounce:

I don't really go to find tools, but if you keep your eyes open you never know what you might find. Found an old 1/2" Craftsman ratchet (1971) last time I was there in pretty good shape.

When you finally hit that big lottery and the first thing you would do is go out and buy at least one of every tool that Snap On makes.

What about when you win an auction on ebay for .99 cents and the wife informs you about the shipping.
Oh, yeah, the shipping too.

I take my tools to bed especially Snap-on. Sometimes any new tool I buy and like alot.

When you think every day about new tool to buy.

When you spend most of your time in the internet in tools ..etc websites.

Have many sets of tools that you may think you will use in the future.

Speakes all the time with your wife about tools and your love to tools and trucks.

Or when you spend money on tools that you'll need or want 5 to 10years down the road

Amen. I have a decent selection of air tools, hoses, and fittings. And I've never owned a compressor in my life.

Someday I'm going to need that stuff...when I'm rebuilding my 1965 Impala SS with a 396 and a 4-spd. Oh, I don't own that yet either.

I bought some sockets and wrench sets in SAE sizes dreaming of buying and restoring my childhood best truck (DODGE 4X4 full size power wagon).

lol, even I'm not that bad. Although I recently dropped my archive from 4 feet tall to about 2 feet tall. Could always use new catalogs, though!

When given the option of choosing a ******* or Tool catalog, you reach for the latter.

When you buy that ratchet/combo wrench/screwdriver at the flea market/pawn shop/yard sale even though you already have seven identical ones "just to keep it from falling into the wrong hands."

Before leaving your home you make sure to stock up your vehicle with the special container that keeps your vehicle clean from rusty, broken, greasy, and distressed items. The lid has to work properly so you can bring it into the garage without the wife knowing what the contents are. Also stocking behind the seat or in trunk with 3-m coarse, medium, and fine pads, go-jo hand cleaner, extra cash not accounted for in the weekly budget, wiping pads for hands, lighted, large magnifing glass and other items just in case a yard or rummage sale pops up as you are driving to or from work, errands run, etc!!!!
