My technician brought this in today, he's had it for years (he's over 60). Thought you guys would appreciate it.

And its a monster! Started it up ( it still has rubber insulated cable) and it was so quiet, but we were planing 5mm of oak with ease, awesome stuff.

Is it a 6"? Nice looking tool. I wonder just how old it is.

I had a makita 6" planer in 1975. It preformed very well and I thought it was the 1st elec. hand planer that size at the time.
