What is your favorite automotive wire loom to use and where do you buy it? I Definitely have used plenty of corrugated plastic split wire loom. Lots of the spiral loom that looks like a fat long plastic spring. These are both nice in that they can be installed after the connectors and mid run.

I am looking for something abrasion resistant.
I really like the nylon woven style but don't know who sells a decent quality at a reasonable price. The stuff in the picture is on the wire very tight. It is almost like it is heat shrunk on there. I assume it was just stretched then it retracted back to a smaller size. Would ideally like to find a product like this. Only downside I see is that it should be installed before the weatherpack/deutsch connectors.

Thanks

Split (Wrap Around) mesh in various sizes, standard or abrasion resistant (I used standard), toward the bottom of that page:

Just finished up a 10' roll of the 1/4" on an older Mercedes engine bay. Also used 1/8" & 3/8" in various areas. The smaller diameters are a little tricky to install, but once you get it started....you know the drill. Very professional looking once installed. Also use TESA tape as the factory does. That crumbles after 20+ years (don't we all).

Thanks for the response.
I might have to try these out. Seems I can't make it through a week without ordering from mcmaster at least once.Screenshot_20220315-131642_Chrome.jpg

I like the braided tubing from Waytek. Kinda pricey I guess but better than plastic split loom. This stuff can go on after connectors and can accommodate a variety of wires sizes.

I recently used the nylon Chinese finger style. Bought it on the bay. I used 3 sizes 1/4 , 3/8, 1/2.
It was easy to use, went over the connectors and used shrink tube on the ends. A hot knife works best to cut it, but a lighter to melt the fringe works.

I ordered a few items to try from Mcmaster.

I needed the 5/8 split loom for my Chevy truck as a section that has oil on it fell apart. The wiring harness is next to the power steering lines and I don't want the wires rubbing on the lines. I cut and moved the loom down until the new comes in.

I usually only use 1/4" 3/8" and 1/2" so i didn't get to creative trying g something new with that size.
