Lately, its been this little guy:
http://buy1.snapon.com/catalog/item...group_ID=12898&store=snapon-store&dir=catalog

Im doing so much mock up wotk on my 47 ford, constantly taking body pannels and parts on and off, often having to reach into a tight place where a longer handle hits surrounding sheetmetal, and this thing fits in my hand so nicely. Its not for high torque situations or breaking a tight fastener loose, but it just feels so right in my hand for quick assembly or dissasembly.

I love my Snap on FLF80, it is good ratchet and it make me less swing to make ratchet as it only need 4.5 degree than 10 degree. i can use FLF80 on cylinder head if my 1/2dr ratchet cant fit. but i am still love my snap on 15in length 1/2dr ratchet because it will break loose about anything and it will work good. i own two of them and i had 1/2dr 24in length breaker bar to break the bolt or nut where it are damn stuck!

Mine is a 1946 Snap-on F-70N Ferret which was my grandfathers. Not only does it have great personal value, but I use it regularly and it is so well "broken in' that it will even ratchet on the loosest bolts and has no slippage.

That's a hard question to answer. It all depends on the job. My regular duty go-to ratchet is a Snap On F936.

I am really diggin' my MAC flex head, though, too. I hated it when I first got it, but it has really grown on me....

But i mostly use it with a long extension and a swivel sparkplug socket but it is one of my favorites....

I have one of the bent handled Snap-on flex ratchets and it gets little or no use, but its nice to look at. Mine doesn't have as many bends. Yours can double as a crank, so I can certainly see its value, but then again I also have a crank which more or less just takes up space.

It is hard to choose just one

I recently used one of these and was surprised how smooth it was. I would take one of these over the raised panel ratchet any day. I'm thinking about picking one up just to have around.

I also really like the SK round head 1/4" ratchet

As far as a quality ratchet at an unbeatable price, I picked up a couple of these proto ratchets off of ebay and you can't beat them for the price . After using these ratchets I will never buy and expensive ratchet off a truck.

Also got a set of Mac Micro tough ratchets which are made in taiwan and also badged as proto and husky(?). The 1/4" is giving me fits but I paid $20 for 3 at a swap meet and I can't complain. Nice quiet smooth gears and an ultra small head. I wouldn't pay full price but I'll buy them again if I see them at the swap meet

I could never choose just one brand, I like using a variety of brands in all drive sizes. I frequently even use my old Plomb stuff from as far back as the 1920's! I luv em all!

(so how did I marry one woman? :wtf: ) I am kidding :spit:

My favorite ratchet(s) are my old Indestro ratchets. I have absolutely no clue where the first one I used came from, it just appeared one day. At the time I was using craftsman ratchets and they quickly found themselves replaced. After searching e-bay for a while, I ended up with a 1/4 ,1/2 and bought another 3/8. I use those almost exclusively. I have two Mac flex head ratchets that fill in every now and then. I'm not even sure where the Craftsman ratchets are.
