Your LPG / welding gas cage set up?

Anyone of you working in shops with LPG tanks for forklifts, etc and welding tanks, how do you store? Outside? If so, do you have cage? Did you make? I'm dealing with reduced space (try to get rid of stuff but you know how it goes). But I'd like to put these outside in a cage or cages.

I guess this pretty standard stuff but I'm just curious about anyone's set up. I guess my main concerns would be theft and vandalism. We don't have to much of it, we have fences with barbed wire (which no doubt can be scaled) and it's well-lit), but still....

In my case I keep the welding bottles in the welding area, I have firewood racks outside, so I have to go past that to. They are just too heavy to deal with that. The propane tanks I have several, forlift, manlift, and spot location heaters. I keep them outside next to my propane fill tank. Probably not helping much.

Thanks. I saw the Durham cages on Zoro. I bought a bunch of Durham cabinets which were great (via MSC sale). The Durham cage price is right but I noticed they're now made in Mexico. For all I know, still quality, but will check out Eagle and Justrite too.

At one of the sites I work at they use several cages like these for the propane.

The welding gas is just in the garage. I also live near an Airgas and they keep acetylene on their loading dock under a roof. They just built a chain link fence around it for security.

At another site I work at they have a Gas Dock. They made bays to separate different kinds of gases (flammable, oxidizer, non-flam) with concrete block and also use iron pipe with elbows and flanges to make even smaller bays for separating individual gases (Nitrogen, Argon, helium, etc).

There are also several satellite locations around the large facility that just use corrugated metal roofs and chain link fence to secure and keep out of the weather. And chains to secure cylinders upright.

Unfortunately there are no photos allowed since it is on an a military base.

It'd be 8-10 LPG tanks. Probably I could get it down to 8. It's inside, I had made a secure rolling rack for it. But it's probably better outside. Hi-theft, it's hard to tell. It is Los Angeles. It'd be discreetly placed, but you never know. I could make, but I think (could be wrong) that with time and materials, I'd come out about even. Maybe it'd be more if we did it ourselves. Of course, if you do it yourself, you do it right, but again, time's always the killer. That said, I always get good ideas on here, so it's always worth me posting, because someone no matter what the subject has done it, bought it, tried it, what have ya.

So I have oxyacet, argon, and 4 propane tanks for forklifts. All stored inside. I worry most about corrosion on the forklift tanks, as these are not exchanged like the other industrial gas bottles.

I trust the handwheels on the industrial gas bottles (cylinders) but had a propane tank go into relief mode just after being refilled on a cold day and then the weather got warm, I had a whiff of mercaptan in the shop. I placed that bottle outside under an open roof and eventually it settled down. Its kind of weird how the refill the propane bottles, filling thru the large valve and then the tiny valve just sits there bleeding until they get a stream of liquid (?). Seems wasteful, dangerous and inaccurate

Its more efficient to pump them.
