I'm curious what everyone's most used ratchet is. A ratchet you seem to grab for every time. Doesn't have to be your favorite but one that gets used the most. I have a thing for this Cornwell JR40H. And the socket set I always grab for is a set of Cornwell Metric shallows. I tend to grab those two items a lot with an 8" extension. I know most people don't use Cornwell stuff but the hardline stuff has grown on me. Post up some pics.

A fine choice! Got some Craftsman USA sockets I use at home as what I grab for first. Hopefully someday to be SK.

My most used ratchets has to be my
3/8" drive Facom JL.161 and it's Baby
Brother the 1/4' drive RL.161.

No matter what little job I need to do
one of those seems to be there. Sorry
My own pics don't show them very well.

Don't have any pics of them because they are in my service van. 1/4 drive Gearwrench that came in the 51pc set. And 3/8 is Kobalt that came in a 40PC set. Not my favorites but I work out of the van the most so these get used the most.

I have used my craftsman sockets for 10 year now on an off as professional doing maintenance and now in a fab shop setting and I have yet to break a single socket I have never really seen a reason to upgrade as they work and I have since started using a lot of impacts so I don't beat on my hand tools as much and use them for clean areas and for bench top work

My sockets in my shop box are all USA Craftsman that I have had since 1996. I too never saw a reason to "upgrade" because they worked great, and still do. Craftsman USA sockets were the best value in sockets out there. Even the last of them with "issues" were still good for the money.

I sure do like that socket holder.... Who makes it or did it come with your cornwell set?

SK 45170 round head or Snap On FBF936 bent handle flex head. I have a few dual 80s but the the 45170's, ( i think i have about 8 now) are just bullet proof and the bent handle flex head has been putting up with my abuse for years and was one of the first professional name tools i ever bought, use that for everything!

Cornwell sells those socket holders separate. They range from $7 to $12 in price. When Cornwell first showed up to our shop I expected all their sockets to come in those holders but they changed them. So I started buying them individually for the Cornwell socket sets I bought. And the little bar that goes over the sockets aren't loose like Mac Tools holders are.

Please don't ask me to explain why I like it; smooth as butter and a wonderful smooth grip in the handle but I found this K-mart Benchtop in a box full of tools that I bought.

Some of you are thinking Chinese **** but this is not the case that sucker has never let me down. Sure I own just about every make of ratchet from the dual 80 to the cornwell above but I got to tell you I was very surprised at the overall quality.

Something about it just feels good in my hands and it is a pleasure to use:

For some reason it reminds me of a Matco ratchet. Doesn't look like a bad ratchet.

Don't have a pic on my phone and don't laugh but it's a Hrbor freight composite reatchet. Love that thing had it for like 6 years, why I like it because it's composite and rubber so I don't ding up delicate motorcycle parts and the fine tooth ratcheting mech makes for using in tight places. I had to replace it once just due to a screw falling out and getting lost but it still worked even with the missing screw.

Do you have any model numbers for the holders, I looked in their site but didn't see any like that, but many items have no pics.
My most used ratchet is my 3/8" SK standard length round head, its just real nice to use.

3/8" Armstrong Maxx is my go to. I have an older Craftsman in my drawer right next to it. Sometimes I grab it by mistake, realize my error and walk back to swap it out lol.

ST43 is for 3/8 Shallow chrome metric, ST44 for 3/8 Deep chrome metric, ST37 for 1/2 deep impact metric, ST80 for 1/2" shallow impact metric, ST83 for 1/4" chrome metric shallow, ST82 for 1/4" deep metric chrome. ST65 for a 7 piece 3/8" impact swivel set. If there's a specific one your looking for I can get a part number for it possibly.

There more on their website under tool organizers. Just gotta do a little puzzle solving to match part numbers to socket sets.

Normally I'll go for an F80 or Fl80.

I have some Benchtop stuff here, a small 3/8 drive kit in a blow mold case, a bar with metic 3/8 drive socks and a set of 3/8 flex sockets. All of it is about 25 years old now, and the flex sockets have been severely abused including being used on a 1/2" drive impact gun occasionally. In that time one of the metric sockets split and the pin broke in one of the flex sockets. For cheap junk it's pretty decent stuff.

SK 1/4" long handle. With sockets up to 9/16" and 15mm, I use it in place of a 3/8" ratchet a lot of times. The small head and finer ratcheting is nice.

I've never really looked at any Cornwell tools. That's a nice looking ratchet set. What's a good place to buy Cornwell?

There is no good place to buy Cornwell, they've been unable to provide distribution online or anywhere outside their driver routes, which excludes them from a lot of markets.

The more I use my cordless impact wrench, the less I use the Armstrong XL flex ratchet that I used to use. It also doesn't help that I got a 60-tooth model instead of the newer 88-tooth, which is sloppier than I'm used to.

I've gone back to using my Beta 3/8" and my newly acquired Hazet 1/2" 72-tooth. The Hazet has less back-drag, but the Beta ergonomics are really the best.

Cornwell ratchets go somewhat cheap on Ebay. Just get the 30 tooth ratchets and not the fine tooth ratchets. I plan to get the same ratchet for my road box. As for sockets ebay or find a Distributor.
