Your opinion on Titan hand tools?

I just completed a compressor/condenser replacement on a truck and found that I am lacking in impact extensions and adapters. I got the job done but it would have taken less time if I had had some adapters and extensions. I've been shopping around for an affordable set and stumbled across an extensive collection made by Titan Tools (81483):

https://toolvector.com/products/titan-17-pc-impact-adaptor-wobble-extension-set-81483

Was hoping that anyone with experience with Titan tools could chime in and share their (both positive/negative) with their impacts. The question is are they junk ... or are they a good value? Whatever I buy will be sitting in my toolbox for (perhaps) years until I needed them. I rarely need these accessories but would like a "best value" set in the box just in case I need them. If these are ****, please recommend an alternative. I understand that I could spend hundreds on a basic set of top-quality accessories, but I've become more of a hobbyist and do not need snap-on as they will not be often used.

Thanks so much for your consideration ...

Northern Tools has that same set for the same price. You might want to check and see if they have coupons codes or specials going on.

There is one listed on a forum I'm on. I'll PM it to you and you can see if it works.

Yes, I was aware of this. My store does not carry it but I could always buy and ship-to-store. I have a $5 off $20 and $20 off $100. If the consensus is positive, I would have to find more tools that I probably don't need to bring the total up to $100.

Thanks for reminding me!

The only experience I have of Titan tools are the small 1/4" drive ratchets, and I love mine.
If you are talking about the really tiny one, I have that one too. I haven’t used mine yet. I bought it because so many other people on GJ said to get it, and I saw it at the parts store…

If I need a tiny ratchet, I use a really old 60 tooth JCPenney ratchet. I need to put the Titan by it, so I can try it out.

I have some Titan non-impact stuff. Id say its "above average import grade" if I had to give an overall rating.

I have their long-handle 3/8 ratchet, the 90T with the colorful metal bands on the handle, and love it. It's not as smooth as my tool-truck ratchets but it has very little slop and I've really abused it before with no ill effects.

I think you have to judge their stuff on a tool by tool basis. Most of their offerings seem to be good but, they have a couple of Hokey things in the mix. Their ratcheting screwdrivers are quite good and rebadged by a couple of tool trucks. It's kind of hard to screw up impact extensions.

Titan seems to have a good offering of 1/4" tools. I like their tiny swivel head ratchet. They also have decent screwdrivers/bits.

I have there old style extra long 3 piece flex head ratchet set. The 25" long 1/2" sees the most use and it has held up well. I believe it was actually rebranded as Mac for a while too.

I have Titan pliers, screwdriver and a flexible hose clamp driver. I bought all of my Titan tools from Aircraft Tool Supply, I've been very happy with them all and the long ratcheting screwdriver gets a really hard life and has stood up well. I bought the pistol grip pliers and they are great. I would recommend them to anyone who doesn't want to pay tool truck prices.

The extensions you're looking at seem like an excellent choice for what you plan to use them for. Titan has some real gems in the lineup, also a few cheap items I'd avoid.

This is my favorite Titan tool:

Titan tools are your typical run of the mill made in China and Taiwan tools, nothing exceptional, but not utter garbage either.

I have the same 3 piece set and the long non flex as well plus the long offset 1/2 inch drive ratchet ( I call that one the knuckle saver ) been using all for some time and like them very much.

I've got one of those & have been happy with it. The 1/4" drive is my favorite Titan tool. But then again these are the only Titan tools I own, including the low profile impact adapters which I also like a lot.

I have a Titan monster 3/4 breaker bar and it's fine. Their O-ring spoons also are good- as said. Hex bits, ehh; ok in a pinch but VIM, Tekton.... are much better.

If you'd like to go look and feel, O'Reilly Auto Parts has quite a lot of Titan stuff on the shelf.

As noted above, it's mostly better-than-average Taiwan made stuff and the prices are quite good. I'd say go for it!

If that's your budget, I can't see you go wrong here. I have never bought an extension at any price that didn't accomplish what I needed from them.

I have that titan mini roto bit driver in my Amazon want list. Because I don't need another bit ratchet do I?

Funny thing, the only tool from Titan that I hate are the pistol grip pliers. They work, but the finish is horrible, and the round gripping areas (tube grippers on the pliers jaws, not the hand grip) are not quite aligned. I do admit that they open and close smoothly and are comfortable to use.

The micro ratchets (1/4 bit, swivel head, and offset) are great for lighter stuff. Kind of an obvious statement since they're 1/4, but I've used them inside vehicles and under hoods. I've never used ****** stuff because I already have what I assume are better quality tools for that. I can thoroughly recommend buying the 1/4 swivel ratchet, though. Extremely useful
