well, when you make unneeded potshots at people that have absolutely nothing to do with the original poster, then go on to complain about how you can't (and supposedly won't) afford them, yet later admit that you don't have a job, you sort of set yourself up for it. Lashing out at people and society in general will not land you a job.
I could afford them if I wanted to. I am not 'cheap' as some assclowns like to put it.
I simply buy smart. Do my research, check reviews, etc. before I buy something, and most of all, buy used. I got one of them big fancy *** Snap-On box used for 600 bucks... it came with the wood top as well!! **** spending 4000 or more on a new one, plus the 500 or so for the optional top... I'll let some other **** retentive guy that absolutely must have shiny stuff buy it, scratch it, and sell it to me for a bargain.
For example, I did lots of research on welders before I bought my Hobart Handler 140 at Tractor Supply brand new. 600 bucks for the welder and a bunch of consumables, parts, etc. out the door.
Same with the engine hoist and floor jack that I bought at HF. Can't really beat the quality of some of those tools from there, not to mention the price. Is it from China? Sure. It doesn't matter how many of you boycott Chinese made tools and such, it'll still be quite some time before manufacture and such gets moved back over here.
I spend lots when I find it necessary for a piece of mind or if I just want to spoil myself a bit. It is so much better that way.
Miserable and cheap? No, not really possible. At least I've got a good pile of money sitting at the credit union... there when I need it.
Also, I did forget to mention in my previous post that any babbling about me behind my back here in this thread will bring me right back into this thread... forget what happened and move on. I will if you will. Simple as that.
As for Snap-On, keep making your tools. I'll be picking them up at garage sales and flea markets all over.
The day I happen to to realize I have 80 grand invested in tools, the whole damn 30x40 pole barn will be full of tools ranging from ratchets and screwdrivers to a Bridgeport mill and a South Bend lathe. Most tools would be bought used. While the guy that spent his last dime (or possibly still owes money on) all of his Snap-On gear kicks himself in the *** for doing so. And I probably would still have money left over for a nice old project car or truck...
There's my logic. Just because it's used or cheap doesn't mean I'm someone with faulty logic or whatever like some of you appear to think.
Unneeded potshots? Sure, whatever you say...

I wasn't targeting anyone in particular. Just trying to point out my opinion on something since everyone and their dog kept inquiring and quoting my posts.
You don't like it, well, too bad. Just shut up and focus on your Snap-On suggestions and try to come up with something for them to start manufacturing...
Don't forget, I'll be keeping an eye on this thread... I didn't promise that there would be no more posts from me, and certainly didn't promise I would not watch the thread...
Let's see if anyone learned anything from a troll... like don't talk about or feed the troll.
