We are building a new home and I have attached the blueprints for the garage level. Home is three stories on a hill so garage is mostly underground.
Garage will be spray foam insulated to make sure no exhaust fumes go into the home above. Plan on having daily drivers on the left side of the garage(double wide side) and will in the future have a lift on the right side tandem bay for two sports cars. Back area of the garage will have a work bench and reloading press for my guns.
Ceiling will hopefully be 10.5' to 11' tall, garage floor will be radiant floor powered by a ground source heat pump and I will have a ductless wall head for cooling in the summer time. I am thinking about adding a sink to the back wall in the tandem bay and the tandem bay will be 9' wide door so I have room to move. I wish the garage could be larger but we are on a 7,500 sq foot sloped piece of property and are already building 3 stories tall so I can have a large garage so I need to work within the basic design I have attached.

Any other thoughts on things I should look at or change before we start construction? What is this garage missing that you would add?

I am in the same boat as you, beginning stages and waiting for my blueprint. The heated/radiant floor is something that until now, I DID NOT THINK OF and I am so glad I saw this. Interested in seeing the comments on this one, as again, same boat as you.

The radiant floor is not cheap and is really not needed since i will have a ductless mini split heat pump, but I also own the largest WaterFurnace Geothermal HVAC dealership in the NW so geo radiant floors is my business :) and I am running radiant floor in the master and possibly a few other areas.

Yea, waiting on a quote myself. I am in the NorthEast, where the winters can be brutal.

Layout looks good to me, I also like the Theater. Only thing I would recommend is make sure you get with the electrician and have plenty of 110v outlets on separate circuits and decide where you want 220v outlets installed. I got screwed when I built my house because I didn't follow up on the electrical. I specified where I wanted outlets in the garage but didn't follow up and check them out. The electrician put them all on only 3 circuits, it met code so I was just screwed. I have to watch my loads when I am running my machines.
