YouTube is really no different than turning on the newsI'm not seeing any trauma or drama
Kilmer is exactly what I hate about YT. He wore out for me super fast.
It's funny the guy at Tools Tested has a very methodical approach, has invested in very nice testing equipment, usually tests a broad range of brands and presents in a zero-hype, almost flat way. His before and after 1000 cycle testing for torque wrenches is really interesting and useful IMHO. I really like his approach since it's information, not infotainment. But after dozens of videos he only has 32K subscribers. My only explanation for it is he's zero-sizzle.
My favorite dude was German Tool Reviews. He stepped away from the channel and can only assume he passed away.
I think he either worked on pinball machines and arcade stuff as a trade or as a hobby because he had a few instances where he was demonstrating a tool on a pinball machine. Seriously a cool channel. Oh well.
He went for a short break due to being busy and health, never came back.
"maybe really the reason I'm doing the video is because it seems that if you don't post anything on YouTube everybody seems to get the impression that you've died"
He was right about that!
