Hey guys, I am pretty new to garage journal and new into metal working. A couple of years ago I bought this sand blasting unit at an auction. I don't really know anything about it, I can't find a model number. I haven't tried using it yet. Not sure what parts might be missing other than the nozzle. Not sure what nozzle to order either. Does anyone have any experience with this type of unit. I have never done any sandblasting so any tips would also be welcome.

That appears to be the media separator for a blast cabinet, not a blaster.

yeah it does look like a media separator, but I see a pressure gauge for air pressure and siphon tube for the media on the bottom which are parts for a media blaster. Built in motor for vacuum suction, I'm going to say one of the first generation for vacuum media blasting?

I went on the company site and couldn't find much. I think it may be a cyclone separator blaster combo. I am hoping all I need to do is add a nozzle and sand. It came out of an industrial arts college in a mining town. I thought it was interesting that the switch is explosion proof. Is that standard on today's units?
