I just bought a Snap On 11/16 zero degree offset box end ratcheting wrench and wondered if anyone here uses zero degree offset wrenches? This wrench should be useful for me because I need it for a tight spot. Of course this may become a problem when I need an offset in other jobs. Do you find you need an offset when using ratcheting wrenches?

i dont see that Snap on did make the zero degree offset box end ratcheting wrench.. it is only Matco tools and Gearwrenches. i own matco tool like this SGRHPM5T as i did added 5/16 (as same with 8mm), 16mm, and 18mm.

it is great for me because i used it a lot than other wrenches... the reason why i got it because it can go in PT cruiser to replacement timing belt and water pump same time.. even it can do more things if you have it then you will know what you can do it!!

I have one by proto and I cannot for the life of me figure out when *I* would actually need it (I bought it because it was only $1). A standard combo wrench will do damn near the same thing... or any of my 0* offset GearWrenches (the non-reversing ones).

I would spend my money elsewhere....

My Gearwrench stubbies are zero degree offset. I don't use 'em all that much but they come in real handy when you're in a tight spot.

My other set of Gearwrenches are the flex heads and they're awesome - I go for those before anything else. I need an 8mm, though.. do they even make 8mm ratcheting wrenches?

i have Elora zero degree offset wrenches, 6-19mm and i use them quite a lot. 13mm gets used a lot for brake caliper bolts when replacing pads. my Elora combination wrenches have a fairly deep offset on the ring ends, so the zero-degree offsets get used a fair bit. they didn't cost me much, and i'm very happy with them.

I've got a set of the extra-long Matco ratcheting ones. One of my favorite tools. If it'll fit in there, that's what I reach for. Even longer than my long-pattern Snappy combination wrenches, by an inch or two per size.

A set of flex-ratcheting gearwrench combo wrenches, those, and some extra-deep offset wrenches would cover alost every possible application. But I've still got 12 other sets besides those 3 because, well, I like wrenches.
