Is $1,500 a fair price for a new-ish (from the inventory of a retiring SO dealer) Zeus scanner (not the plus edition)? TIA
Very good deal.It will cost you 1200-ish to update if you want secure gateway access, current software, and Intelligent Diagnostics to work. $1500 is a great deal IMO.
Be aware there is a new VCI for either Ethernet or DoiP vehicles like Volvo for communications, enhanced data does not work with my Windows 7 Generation 1 Zeus. I basically just see fuel trim issues so I use generic data and diagnose the failed PCV/oil trap. So if you don't have that newer VCI you'll forgo that enhanced data. I would not hesitate to buy even a non-updated windows 7 zeus for $1500. The scope and guided component test are basically worth that.
If it's a windows 10 unit it's inherently worth more in my experence as it's still supported by Microsoft and should have a longer life as a newer tool.
