Has anyone heard of ZG-Shield Polyurea. Work proposed is one base layer of ZG Shield, Full Flake, and then a second layer of ZG Shield Polyurea.

I've quoted out doing this myself and price is too comparable to justify the savings of DIY. What I quoted was Epoxy Floor, Full Flake, and 2 Polyurea layers using Nohr.

Trying to make a decision but haven't seen much on ZG Shield product. Any thoughts you can provide would be useful!

We have been in the business over 20 years and have encountered most products ever made, but this brand is not one we have ever heard of so that would be a caution as it my be an off brand, or something custom. Maybe investigate and get the Tech Data and SDS sheets and investigate if you are comfortable with the manufacturer's support.

Thanks. Here is the website. They are a franchise-based business with locations all over the US. I know a couple people locally who have had it installed and are very pleased with it; however it's only been a couple years. These polyurea companies seem to pop up all over the place recently so I am trying to do my due diligence here. The quote I received is one of the best I've seen. Here's the franchise website https://zonegarage-usa.com/ I am trying to track down Tech Data and SDS

Through further research, I believe it is a rebranded/re-labeled product from a company called Pur Epoxy. https://www.purepoxy.com/product-type/polyurea-urethane/

I found the LinkedIn of an exec, Richard Murphy, who seems to be in charge of both -- https://www.linkedin.com/in/richard-murphy-64510168/?originalSubdomain=ca

Also, the facebook page for ZoneGarage USA (https://www.facebook.com/ZoneGarageUSA/) owner is linked to PurEpoxy via a company called "EzConcreteSupply" out of Lima Ohio.

Someone promised me the TDS via text -- we'll see

So ZG Shield is full of some shady dealers. I've contacted the Franchise lead via text but he wouldn't send me the TDS. I contacted a random installer in California -- he wouldn't send me it. I also contacted the local installer who won't send it. Doesn't bode well for the company....

Stay away from any company that will not offer you the specs on the product being used. You might want to read this article with tips about how to choose a coating contractor.

Thanks for this Shea. Definitely changed my mind. These guys have great references but I dont know if i can trust the installer. The installer came in at a low price, I contacted for spec sheets and got no answer. I then went to corporate ZG Shield out of Lima Ohio, asked him for spec sheet and he gave me some excuse that he was too busy to send after 2 or 3 business days. This was after he told me that my local franchise often used cheaper/inferior products. I think I'll do it myself now -- it's just painful to plan the process.

I am torn between a lot of good products (ie. Legacy, Armor Poxy, other brands seen on the forums, etc.) to the point that I am more confused now than ever. This is a big project for me (1200 sq ft) and I want to do it right but it's just so hard to choose and I've over analyzed to the point that I can't even think.
