I’m a regular buyer at Zoro and have three email accounts where I usually receive Zoro coupons. However, in the past month, I haven’t received a single 20% off coupon—only 10% ones. Has anyone else noticed this? Could it be because I’ve used a lot of coupons in the past, or have they really stopped offering 20% discounts?

Yes, I noticed this too... see my post here. It's not just you. Kinda odd the chose the biggest sale period of the year to, uh, sell less stuff.

Really started noticing this right at the new year (2024). Used to even get a 25% once in a while, but it's really just been 10's, sometimes limited 10's since then, with the occasional and rare 20.

And the rare 20% isn't a general discount, but instead it's only on "selected" items.

I was receiving 20's on a regular basis (several per month) most of 2024, but it came to an abrupt end around early October. Since then, I've mostly received 10's and haven't bother posting since I assume there wouldn't be much interest in 10's.

I've only heard vague rumors of 25's, never actually received one. Always wondered what criteria Zoro uses to issue the unicorn 25's.

Yep, I've seen a number of restricted coupons for "select categories".

All of the above is a real head scratcher because Zoro regular prices are well above normal market prices, you need at least 10% off Zoro pricing just to match the competition.

Is anyone here using Zoro for reselling purposes, like dropshipping or general reselling? I've noticed many sellers doing dropshipping on Amazon. Are there any success stories to share?

I'm sure not doing this.

Doesn't appear to be enough margin to even attempt reselling / drop shipping from Zoro, unless you are finding buyers willing to pay well above retail / market price?

Definitely makes things more difficult.
They offer fast shipping, but they split their orders into so many packages that keeping track of things becomes a headache. I feel genuinely bad for my small town post office sometimes.
They stock single items from sets, but the smaller (and cheaper) items have to be purchased in groups of 3.
They list COO for every item, but it's not always accurate...
Their catalog is enormous, but their search function is horrible. Awful. Barely usable, but saved by being able to search part numbers (which works 90% of the time, except for when they've randomly added extra letters).
I haven't had to contact customer support, but I've heard they're not really helpful for warranty support, and their return window is pretty short.

Will I stick with them? I don't know...

No, I actually know some people who are successfully doing dropshipping on eBay and Amazon using Zoro. They’ve been earning pretty well with it despite the tighter margins. It seems like the key is finding the right products with good demand and pricing them strategically.

Wow. Got any examples of products they are doing this with? Do they have endless supplies of 20% coupons?

Seems like the first time one of the customers got a package with the Zoro invoice and the drop shipper's name, address, and price he paid, the game would pretty much be over.

Yeah, there must be a way the drop-shipper prevents this from happening.

My last 20% coupon was on Oct 10. But I get a 10% coupon code every week in my email. Waiting to see if I get a 20% coupon on Cyber Monday.

Like the dozens of you on here that have had a huge reduction in the availability of the 20% coupons. With that said….here’s one I recently received. Please post if used.

With that said... I checked prices on a few tools I planned to eventually buy from Zoro, and the prices have gone UP substantially vs earlier this year. I might end up buying them elsewhere.

I really don't understand Zoro's pricing strategy, nor their discount strategy.

I put it in my cart and it shows the discount.
That may be the problem. If you have the code applied in your cart, it "locks" that code and it will show "invalid" for others who try to use it. Screenshot below.

If you remove the code from your cart, that should make it work for others:

Any chance that someone has a general use 20% that they're not going to use? If so please PM me, much appreciated.

I haven't gotten one in a while, the old leave things in your cart trick hasn't been working for me as of late either. I've scoured a bunch of sites and found a couple of specific codes (see below) that may help someone. There were a few codes that removed $10 but when your cart has ~$700 of stuff in it $10 doesn't do much so I didn't bother to list them below.

Hopefully these codes help someone:
Get Up To 15% Off (Gearwrench Tools) - GRWND24
Get Up To 15% Off (Cold Weather Products) - DCWP27
Get 20% Off (Select Crescent Tools) - CRSNTND24
