Got a roll cart for work and have been stocking it up the last few weeks. Got an IR 2235, proto impact and chrome socket in three drive sizes, proto extensions, proto brass hammer, a couple of knipex pliers, mityutoyo pocket scale and straight edge, nupla drilling hammer, Starrett auto center punch and a few other odds and ends. Saved about 500 bucks.

That 2235 is a bad *** gun, and with the 30% off, at $215, a rocking deal. I paid $285 a few months ago when it first came out.

I couldn't pass up another 30% sale. I got a Bosch MRF23EVS router and a QMark MUH102 10kW heater for the garage. Yeah!

well Zoro got me again to spend some money . I guess at least part of it is going to support the Blackhawks though so that makes it better lol. I was in Chitown a few weeks back and attended my first game at UC. I had seen the logo on the Zoro website but was surprised to see them as such a prominent sponsor at the game.

Anyway... For those looking for some "filler" to get you over $200... I've found that Zoro has already good prices on Irwin Vise Clamps compared to other places. When you knock another 30% they come in really nicely priced and makes it easier to reach that point of *almost* having enough clamps :). As an example, the 11R model is ~13$ at Zoro yet is typically ~$17+ elsewhere. With the 30% off they are only ~$9 which really is about 50% less than many places. Great deal!

That was fun. I barely made it home in time to get my order in, had 12 things sitting in my cart for about a month. Big items for me were a hammer drill and one of the new MW stand LED lights. A big pile of smaller stuff.

I don't think that Zoro is going to be getting much of my business anytime soon. When their pricing is higher than MSRP, I'll go somewhere else, coupon or no coupon.

What did it come up to? I've been looking for a 87-V as well.

I finally picked up the milwaukee 2454 impact kit and m12 ratchet. I'm thinking it should have been smarter for me to do it through HD

If you know how to do simple math and google searching you can determine what is a good deal.

I bought a tile saw that was 32 dollars cheaper than HD and most other retailers. Add in the 30% and it was a big savings combined with the free shipping and no tax.

That said the scaffolding I purchased was slightly more than other places that had it. Northern tool offers a 50 off 250 coupon which is 20% off. Its hard to achieve a perfect 250 order, so that shaves away the 20% discount. Factor in the fact they don't have free shipping and it would have cost even more, and they do offer store pickup, but you need to have an address that is within 100 miles or so of their store.

It worked out that I would save about 100 dollars on 1200 worth of scaffolding. Add in the free shipping and no tax I saved even more. Picking it up would have cost me about 150 bucks in fuel along.

Not saying zoro is the only place to shop, but they do have some deals if you want to save money.

Wow, ordered a Milwaukee M12 cordless impact yesterday with the free shipping, and it's OUT FOR DELIVERY today!! That would be impressive for a normal day, let alone cyber monday.

Q. Where do you ship from?

A. We ship Zoro stocked items out of six warehouses strategically located across the country.

More specifically, they are in California (one in sunny SoCal and one in breezy NorCal), Illinois (the Land of Lincoln), South Carolina (the Land of Mustard BBQ sauce) and Texas (the warehouse there is bigger).
Third party items ship directly from manufacturers located all over the country.

I placed my order at about 1:10 AM Monday morning.

My 3 boxes of stuff arrived about 34 hours later!

I'm sure the UPS man loved me. They put 3 spools of Mig Wire and over half of the 42 impact sockets I bought in one box. When I picked it up off the front porch I was trying to remember what I had bought that would be that heavy.

The other boxes were smaller and lighter. Ha!

i ordered mine last nite and it is still pending approval. i knew it would take a while since the battery charger from associated equipment was shipping directly from the manufacturer.

You need to know your prices, Milwaukee compact portaband $220.00 at most stores AND ZORO , so 30% off is great, Blades another 30% off. So you can get saw and four 3 packs of blade for the cost of saw at their competitors.
Same with my Dynabrade sander, ZORO was priced the same as others so I'll take the $100.00 savings. :3gears:

Norcal warehouse is around Fresno, that's where my order shipped from. I haven't received a shipping notification yet & my order still shows pending fullfilment. But I got a notification from UPS saying my package is supposed to arrive tomorrow. However it has been rescheduled for delivery today! That's awesome, one day delivery again!

That's exactly what happened to me last Cyber Monday, no shipping notification & showed pending fullfilment, shipment arrived the next day & it was a freight shipment!

i have also bought alot of stuff from zoro. you have to be an intelligent buyer and price shop beforehand so you know if you are getting a great deal or not with their discounts.

the miller 211 i bought from them at the previous 30% off sale was higher in price before discount but substantially less after discount. all i care about is the bottom line. would i have paid the higher price without the flash sale? no.

but....like grainger, their shipping is fast, their customer service is outstanding and easy to buy from.

this time i bought a high end associated equipment wheeled battery charger and a reelcraft air hose reel. both for the price of just the battery charger at the cheapest place online.

another time i bought commercial fire extinguishers. their prices were competitive before the discount and killer after wards.

Did you get the compact portaband 7A or the deep-cut 11A?

ZORO isn't one of the participating distributors for Miller's rebate program, with that said, I'd still submit everything and maybe you'll get lucky.

Everyone panicked about this last time around. Miller gave everyone, myself included, the rebates. The folks at Miller are great to work with.

Except it's not Miller handling the rebates, it's a 3rd party rebate processor that disburses the funds.

My buddy uses those all day everyday building cookie cutter suspension kits....1.75" Chromoly tubing. He burns through them within a year. Not nearly as long lasting as the old USA ones, but the old USA ones are twice the size and weight.

And the shop monkeys are not easy on them. Push them to the limits for sure.I'm assuming for guys that use them enough, but not daily, and take care, they should last a very long time.

Buy some extra tires because surely they start slipping in the middle of a project at 01:00 hours. Tires are super cheap.

That being said, we all love this tool because it is so damn small and easy to wield. (I have the M12 and M18 FUEL as well. The M12 is frikin awesome for 99% of stuff...The M18 FUEL is LARGE)

What do you base this on?

I facilitated a "group by" (if you will) between a bunch of friends/family members/coworkers on the 30% off right before the they ended the free spoolmate rebate (that was combined with the Build with Blue. I had a lot of contact with Melissa (who is an employee of Miller), and she is the sole person responsible with approving/denying these rebates. I had several that we did not receive until after the "must submit by" date, and she still accepted them. No one will have an issue with this rebate using Zoro.

Melissa works for QMMarketing. They're processing the rebates, not Miller.

They're probably less concerned with where people are buying the welders, though I don't think Miller would care much either unless they're grey market. The point is to make sure they're authentic rebates submitted, not to clamp down on people missing dates and such.

Tonight I assembled my 10 ton hydraulic press.
I put a bit of pressure carefully before final tightening.
It has got internal return spring and a liquid filled gauge, not sure why liquid filled since there is no vibration but it's cool. I am thinking a gauge is good to have since small amount of pressure can be applied by the hand pump.

this should be useful without taking up a "ton" of space :lol:

Nice Dake press PoorOwner. Do you think that the 10 ton could be used for automobile wheel bearings?

I reseached on Amazon people seem to have success. One guy said he used 7.5 tons to press out a bearing on a Camry

Definitely should handle installation with a little freezer trick if needed (provided it fits)

That is a nice size press for the weekend warriors. I think I may have to have one of those.
