I just figured I would throw out my experience with Zoro. With the typical 20% coupons, I can find almost everything I'm looking for at prices cheaper that anywhere else, including Amazon. Additionally, compared to Amazon, I get actual packaging that makes me think someone cares and SUPER fast shipping...like one day shipping to my location. I've been super happy and continue to order regularly from them.

I just figured I would throw out my experience with Zoro. With the typical 20% coupons, I can find almost everything I'm looking for at prices cheaper that anywhere else, including Amazon. Additionally, compared to Amazon, I get actual packaging that makes me think someone cares and SUPER fast shipping...like one day shipping to my location. I've been super happy and continue to order regularly from them.

I have found them best for raw materials. Bar stock orders fulfilled from "local" 40 mile away metal supplier for less with free delivery than if I buy direct and pickup. Also made in USA 6mm and 8mm shcs in a few lengths, and some locline fittings.

I'd love to see some of the great stuff you guys are buying with the codes... I pulled the trigger on an Astro Thor 401K air hammer which should be arriving soon, but for most of the stuff on Zoro, I find that even with the 20% coupons, it's within a couple of bucks +/- of Amazon prices (usually a bit more).

Some stuff is an incredible deal, like the Gedore tool kit for under $50 with the coupon, but I'd like to be 'inspire' to buy more from them!

Mostly hand tools for me. Klein tends to be same price at Zoro as elsewhere, so you're saving 20%. Have found surprisingly good deals on some of the euro brands - Knipex, Gedore, Felo, Wera, Wiha. Williams screwdrivers, Pica pencils, Utility knives/blades/cutting pads from Olfa. Milwaukee is excluded from most coupons.

Good deals to be had, but I've had mixed luck when items showing shipping dates 7+ days out. Fair number of items in my order history have ended up unavailable and cancelled. I see items I ordered last November that still show "preparing to ship", but also say discontinued, so I don't expect them to ever come. They don't seem to charge you until the item ships, but it would be nice if they were a bit more on top of accurately representing order status. I've had items show up when still showing "preparing to ship".

My experience is that if it shows in stock, you will get it fast. My orders tend not to be urgent, so I'm happy to wait a few extra days vs Amazon if the pricing is better.

Would love to be temped with specific items... If items like Knipex are already 'on sale' at Zoro, then yes, they can be a good deal after an additional 20%. Unfortunately there really doesn't seem to be a way to see what is on sale, hence my suggestion that if folks *do find* items that are a particularly good deal on Zoro, post up the specifics!

I tend to buy my Proto sockets and hand tools there - when using a coupon I find them to have the best deals.

Speaking from experience, it's not necessarily Zoro's fault. My employer sells on Zoro, and we upload current inventory levels every day. It really depends on how often vendors upload inventory (and how accurate it is).
