*Slowly raises hand

I actually just used it on a compressor. I had it in my cart when that post popped up.

If it helps, I've been a member here for awhile.

 glad it went to a member on here.

You fellows that are getting one time use codes. Do you buy a lot from zoro?

I do, but I doubt that makes a difference I think Zoro shares their IT staff with sears, so its the luck of the draw when it comes to mailers,, I mean I consistently get them, but that is likely because they pulled their mailing list at some given time versus amount of stuff I buy.

Anyone have a 2% code? Ordering my boy a Mig 211 today. Thanks

Just got a pretty good deal on Cyberweld.com. the 211 is $200 cheaper on there than on zoro so it all works out well. Got the 211 and a folding miller welding table and a helmet/jacket/glove set. can't wait for it to arrive

Nice pick-up. I "settled" for a 141 from Cyberweld. Ordered yesterday...delivers tomorrow. Can't ask for faster service than that.

Zoro accidently sent me an extra spoolmate on my order during the last 30% flash sale. I called and they told me to keep it. After selling all of them (and the $400 rebate that's on the way) I ended up netting $340 for my 211! :rocker:

^^^ Nice deal on that. Did you try the spool gun? I'm thinking I will save up for a TIG and try that this next year. Im really anxious for the 211. I have a Clark 180 ive used and its old and has issues. Although not as many issues that I have so I can't blame the tool but sure do hope the 211 will make me a better welder.

Can someone explain what the spoolmate does and do I need it?

Is that to store a different spool like aluminum so you don't have to swap what's in the machine?

It is the model name of Miller's spool gun. It allows you to use the welder without using the large spool inside the welder. The short distance between the small 1 pound spools that it uses and the tip also allows you to use aluminum wire. Using it for aluminum is the most common reason to buy one.

I didn't try the spool gun. I'm new to welding, and in an attempt to make it cheap enough that my wife won't complain (I've spent my fair share the past couple months), I decided I most likely wouldn't use it much anyway.

So Im in the market for a Millermatic 211 and missed out on the Cyber Monday 30% off deal. However, now with a 25% off coupon its essentially the same thing.

However, if I were to purchase the welder at Cyberweld its $1095 but includes a free helmet and is eligible for a $200 rebate on top of that.

Does anyone know if I can still qualify for the Miller MIR purchasing it at Zoro because if so that'll save me another $80

Thanks in advance!

Looks like the 25% codes (HVRM047KV4 and HVRM053KWR) are a single use, and have been used already.

I think Zoro is making the codes to a specific email as stated. You would thing they wouldn't care who it was sent to but take the $$$ anyway.

Good luck with that. They uses the factory packaging (Durham's) for shipping which is pretty flimsy. Mine arrived dented and when I contacted them about it, they sent another unit out which also got dented as well :willy_nil Ended up accepting a credit from them.

They told me there is no way for them to contact their warehouse personnel and tell them how to pack/ship certain orders

Yes it works at Zoro. As a matter of fact I got a 211 on Cyber Monday, and opened my mailbox today to find my $400 check!

While I'm not privy to Zoro's marketing practices, being in the digital marketing/ecommerce industry since early dot com days, a customer-specific offer are often used as an incentive to re-engage a high valued customer. They would set criteria as to lifetime value and purchase frequency, and utilize promotional offer to those targeted customers to get them to purchase again.
While they will take the sale from anyone (even low margin, value-seekers like me) they are targeting their higher valued customers.

Alternatively, offering an across the board % off helps to convert price-sensitive new customers as an customer acquisition play. Forums like this and other Social Media channels help with their effective reach.

This confirms my hunch about Zoro and others. I suspect my cumulative margin when factoring in returns and shipping damage is probably a negative number which explains the absence of postcards and email incentives.

Thanks for the feedback guys. Unfortunately I was a little too slow to pull the trigger as I was attempting to add in some consumables and by the time I was done the deal was gone...if anyone else has a coupon they arent planning on using please let me know and I would be very appreciative.
