Not all states get taxed. I've been waiting awhile to order a wrench set which I researched and couldn't find cheaper anywhere, no tax, and free ship.

Zoro's Sales Tax is really a dealbreaker for their customers based in New York State. I believe Zoro has their affiliate, Grainger in NYC which accounts for the sales tax requirement. As a result, only saving ~$30 dollars depending on overall amount. Savings is not necessarily savings. $18 is sales tax.

The same goes with Amazon, being a Seattle-based company, but warehouses are stationed all over the tri-state area.

Oh well, off to Delaware :3gears:

Been waiting awhile for this coupon, only to find out they charge sales tax. Between that and their high prices, it's no cheaper than anywhere else, even with the coupon.

No more Craigslist Wilton vise games. With today's deal you can get the 75th anniversary Wilton pkg for great price. Brand new for less than some Cl clown would want for one beat to hell and back. Woot!

I've found that Zoro prices can go either way. Sometimes they beat everyone else on price even before using a coupon, sometimes their prices are middle of the pack (and then on the lower end once you use a coupon), and sometimes their prices are too high to get a deal.

Earlier this year I bought 6 Durham hardware drawers and a slide rack. Zoro was the lowest price on several of the configurations, but several were much higher than Amazon even factoring in the coupon. I ended up buying several from both places, with the rack itself coming from Zoro.

Zoro must have hired a new shipping manager. My BLOSSOM order of a dozen or so items shipped in one box!

yeah me too, i almost pulled the trigger right now on a compressor but i need just a little more off....

30% would be :3gears:

If it was 30% vs 35% would you be saying the same thing?

You sure it's not psychological? Extra 5% is $50 off $1000. Is it worth depriving yourself for months on end waiting for an elusive code?

well what about 5% vs 0%, isn't that the same thing?

edit:

the comp i'm after is $1200, a used one would be about $700

@ 20% that's $960 but at 30% it's $840

i dunno about you, but $840 is pretty much a world away from $1000 for me.

+1

Sillyness to wait on purchase... or justify buying tools you don't need because of a 5% difference.

glad I jumped on the 25% off a few days ago.

If anyone else is interested, enco has a 25% off coupon and free shipping coupon that stack. They have a lot of the same products (either same manufacturer or made by a competitor- lots of US made options too that are almost always clearly labeled!) if anyone wants to get some good deals soon.

Do they usually run a promo code through the holiday weekend? I got in on blossom and found a few more items but not up to 200 worth.

They usually have a promo for most holidays. I'd wait for a 25/30% possibility for fathers day.

Thanks Marv for the code. I have a Wilton 1755 75th Anniversary Vise ready to be installed now.

Nice. Glad you could put it to good use. I have a 1755 myself, not a 75th anniversary though. Wilton makes a quality product. The 75th anniversary seems like a really good deal being it includes a hammer. Do you know the difference between the 75th anniversary and a normal 1755. The normal 1755 is $618 on Zoro, just was wondering why the other one is so much cheaper.

Yeah. At the moment I've having trouble filling up the minimum order with stuff I actually need. I wish Zoro had the Spoolmate 150's; that gun seems like a big improvement over the Spoolmate 100 and almost as good at the Spoolmate 200 at half the price.

Marv

I'm wondering the same thing. It worries me a little. They both seem to weigh the same, but that does not mean they ARE the same quality.
