What will everyone be picking up for this sale? I found a few good brands that seem to be the same price (pre-sale) at zoro as everyone else. namely:

-Hako
-Wera (for most things)
-Proto
-Fein (for some things)
-Kant Clamps
-Wiha (hit or miss it seems)
-Bessey

Does anyone have a good 4 1/2" angle grinder they'd recommend for the sale? Looking at the cheap fein (made in china) but willing to hear any suggestions

I was really hoping to get an air compressor but after doing a few things in the garage last week. The compressor can wait and I will not be buying anything from them. I want a plasma cutter in a worse way. I will probably get the plasma cutter and realize my air compressor isn't big enough to support the plasma cutter. The way it goes sometimes.

If I could get away with only buying $200 worth of stuff I would be on it!!!

They are a Joke! Prices sooo high that you need the 30% off just to get to everyone else. Put a Milwaukee heated jacket in cart and with 30% off it was only like $11 cheaper then Home Depot's regular price.... if people buy stuff at regular price there they are nuts!

^^^That's not true. It all depends on what you're buying.

The widget I just bought was around $2600-2700 at Amazon and other suppliers. Zoro was at $2578 regular price which was already slightly below everybody else. With the 30% off it came down to $1804. That's about $800 below street price.

Zoro is great for specialized/commercial products. My only beef is they're pulling this brand restriction B.S.

If you're buying everyday consumer products you can usually do better.

The universal wisdom is to always shop around!!

You need to know your prices. My Dynabrade sander was over a $100 less than anyone along with the Milwaukee metal cutting saw and the Metal cutting blades were $20 less than anyone. You just gotta shop smart. Their sanding belts were a great deal too.

I can find individual things at any retailer that are higher than the competition. Most everything I have ever bought at zoro was cheapest there even before the discount, after it was incredible. The comparably few things I have bought there without a discount were cheapest there right off the top. The BIGTOYZ code did finally work for me, not sure why it rejected me the first few times.

Just funny how some people find most things they want to be cheaper but others (like me) find everything I want to be way over priced.

I am really thinking about picking up that Wilton anniversary vise / hammer deal. $279.30 shipped is a pretty good deal.

Just one to point out for everyone, Zoro has really good prices on many Durham items. One example that I picked up two of last year is the 72 bin bolt bins. Zoro's normal price of $121.70 is lower than almost everywhere else. Stack the 30% off and it is an awesome deal at $85.19 (half the price of local for me).

https://www.zoro.com/durham-bin-unit-72-bins-33-34-x-8-12-x-42-in-350-95/i/G0750976/

I placed these with 40 bin units stacked on top of them inside of Durham bin cabinets for the ultimate bolt organization. It has made life so nice when working on projects.

Here are some shots of what I did. The cabinets and bins were all sourced through Zoro during a 30% off for substantially lower than anywhere else.

Got my order in just now at $504... Angle grinder, bessey angle clamp, wilton f-clamp, a few kant clamps, and a few other items. Paid just over $370 with tax so I am very happy on the deal.

Zoro seems to be the same price as anywhere else I can find on the kant-twist clamps... Another brand to add to your list for those of you who care.

This was my first order with Zoro, do they ship quickly and have good customer service?

Yes and Yes. :D

placed an order for a Milwaukee M18 14g metal shear and M18 wood planer, both cheaper with the discount than black Friday or Cyber Monday deals or even Ebay.

Also, if anyone has a Stanley Vidmar drawers they need bins for, Zoro has these Akro Mills for .45 cents each and 45 of them will fit in a drawer tightly, a lot cheaper than Stanley's bins and cheaper than anything out there I could find that was similar to these. I orders 315 of them to fill 7 drawers of bolts

Kennedy 3900MPBL. Unfortunately, in the Maintenance Pro series they only have 39" roller cabinets and 42" top chests. :headscrat:

No matter, MSC has the 3905MPBL for $800, and, although I do have to pay sales tax, the freight is free since it's a drop ship item.

I just noticed this in their FAQ. I don't know of any other reseller that provides a 12 month warranty on everything they sell and "doesn't pass the buck" back to the manufacturer.

So far, all of my Zoro experiences have been positive. (except their website search).

Q. What is the warranty on your products?
A. Zoro warrants any product purchased for use in business or resale against defects in workmanship or materials under normal use for a period of one year from the date of purchase. Any product determined by Zoro to be defective in material or workmanship and returned to Zoro shipping costs prepaid will, at Zoro’s option, be repaired or replaced or the purchase price refunded.

For information on a specific manufacturer’s warranty, please contact Zoro at 855‑BUY‑ZORO (855‑289‑9676).

^^That's pretty impressive IMHO.

I imagine you already have an M18 drill/impact, otherwise buying it with the One-Key kit @ HD, brings it down to $142 before tax, so probably a break even.

Holy moly that planer is hard to find. You can't even search 'Milwauke planer.' Only by the model # did I find it. On Milwaukee's product page it says the kit comes with an XC battery, which means it is an older product. I wonder if a Fuel model will be in the works?

Zoro warranty....
Had a little giant pump, poorly engineered to permantly stall once it warms a little. Zoro exchanged it twice ( with pickup order), was willing to continue exchanging, I said no more, they refunded. Excellent service, they will take back items with no hassles. Like others I purchased hundreds $ in Akrobins for my Vidmars from Zoro, cheapest, better price then Ebay.

XC battery = eXtra Capcity = 3.0, 4.0, or 5.0 when referring to the M18 line.

And try spelling Milwaukee right. Pops right up.

The planer has only been out for a year

i doubt i mis-spelled while searching (thank you auto-correct), but i know i also searched 'm18 planer' and nothing popped up, as it should.

The only battery to me that should be referred to only as XC is the 3ah. The others are extra capacity, but need a 4 or 5 (or 6 now) to properly describe them. And all times I can recall seeing an XC battery, you end up with a 3ah.

I wasn't trying to argue or want you to stop posting, just state my experience on the site. I have read that others aren't fond of their search, but maybe i did spell it wrong.

the battery thing, i guess i'm a stickler for details. i woudn't want to order something expecting one thing, to only recieve less, but technically meets the order description

happy new year :rocker: or bah humbug :tantrum2: (me most years)
