Not to mention all the code restrictions now for the good brands.

Most are manufacturer enforced to stop predatory pricing practices. If you were a retailer you'd understand.

Zoro's really crapped out with these coupons. They just sent me unique codes for 20% off $200 when there's already better global coupons.

Don't hold your breath bro, the economy is 1000% better then it was back when the 40% then 30% deals were regular business. I could also be wrong too. Just saying.

Besides the economy, as essentially a "startup" I'm pretty sure Zoro used the coupons to generate traffic/interest/etc. Now they are more reasonable.

Overall you're right though, I think clearance/deals as a whole are nothing like they were when the 30s and 40s were at Zoro.

20% off $100: HOTDEALS2

Expires 10/10/18
Can be used one time per account

Thank You!

I got the Gearwrench 41690 front end service kit for $74. Zoro was cheapest I could find even before coupon at $92. And a few pairs of Jackson Nemesis safety glasses to put the order over $100...zoro is usually best price on these also.

Where do you type in the promo code? I want to order some Bessey clamps and can't find the place to input the code.

did you guys also notice Zoro started excluding Echo - when did this start or was the exclusion on specific coupon code(s)?

I bought my Echo backpack blower last fall for quite a discount, it wasn't much past that I tried to buy more Echo stuff and found out they were now excluded.

In the Milwaukee deal thread, it's mentioned Milwaukee is being exuded from coupons. With that, that is one less website I probably will be browsing. I always figured that a lot of the Mwk prices were inflated to compensate for the coupons. Maybe the prices will just become more competitive?

15-20% deals from CPO/Acme are not unheard of, so it's just Zoro getting tight. The Zoro prices do not seem terrible at least on the table saw (same as any local store), but combine that with sales tax and no coupons it means Zoro won't be getting any Milwaukee business from me.

Sales Tax

I also got a notice that Zoro is gonna start charging sales tax in RI, which *****. Dont know if its specific to them or other retailers have to for some RI law change.

A lot more dealers, especially the larger ones, will be charging sales tax due to the new laws passed by the Supreme Court on internet sales. I'm hoping smaller guys like me don't meet the Nexus qualifications in most states. For RI, any dealer doing more than 200 transactions or $100k sales per year in the state will have to collect, file and pay sales tax. Grainger/Zoro surely does that kind of volume in your state.

I will still buy from zoro when/if the cost ends up lower, including taxes and shipping, than elsewhere. Would be nice if there was an eTailer that always had the best deals on everything but that's not going to happen.

I just purchased about a dozen items at Zoro using a 20% off coupon. Most of the regular prices for these items were already less than Amazon and elsewhere - sometimes significantly so - so the extra 20% off (and cashback) make for great deals. I place an order like this every 1-2 months, so the savings add up.

However, the types of items I purchase are usually low-value items ($30 and less) and non-electronic. Zoro seems great for consumables and lots of other stuff I'd buy at Lowes, HD, and Amazon.
