Hey guys, heavy items that "drop ship" from the manufacturer, does zoro pay the liftgate fee already to the manufacturer?

Anyone ordered compressors, or other heavy items from them?

I've ordered an Ariens snow thrower and 75 gallon water heater from zoro. Delivered on lift gate truck to my house at no additional charge, however I don't recall if they were drop shipped from manufacturer or a zoro/grainger warehouse.

Just checked, snow thrower was dropped shipped (2015). Water heater was in stock.

Zoro has many well priced items, Justrite gas cans is one example.

Look for things that you need.

Example, I am going to change the pressure reducng valve on my water main. Looked what they had at Home Depot and then checked Zoro and Supplyhouse.com. Zoro is competitive without discount and great with with it.

Price/ Less 25%/ Less 29%
Supplyhouse.com $95.95
Zoro $92.25/ $69.19/ $65.50
Lowes $89.98
HD $88.41

With Zoro I also know that I am getting the top quality version of the product, not a potentially cheapened version supplied to the big box stores (this doesn't apply to all products obviously).

You might want to take a look at Amazon Warehouse for a pressure reducing valve because there is a wide variety available. I'm guessing there must be a LOT of returns on these because people buy the wrong model for their application. I've purchased a couple and both times they were in new and unused condition.

For example, I think this is probably the one you are looking at:

$59.97 - Used - Very Good
Item will come in original packaging. Packaging will be damaged.

When I go to befrugal i think it says 6%?

I just checked, and still says 4%. Even lists the TickTock code so you know you qualify for the 4%. 6% might get me to buy something I don't need

Edit: when I go to BeFrugal on another browser that I'm not logged into, it does show 6%, however still shows 4% my main browser. :headscrat

Oh I see, it says 6% is the "first purchase" rate

Make your first order through BeFrugal at Zoro to be eligible for a higher rate. Earn 6% Cash Back on sales up to $300 at Zoro. Sales exceeding $300 will earn 6% on the first $300 and 4% on amounts exceeding $300. Valid only on your first order placed through BeFrugal. Limit one use per BeFrugal account

So is this pretty good sign the 4%/6% won't be reversed?

I am going to take a screen shot of that page with the TickTock Code

Yes. Any code that is available to all typically qualifies for cash back. It's when you get an individual specific code sent to you that it won't stack.

So about an hour after placing the order it is in my befrugal account.

The math is pretty funny for the cashback amount, and it will be vested 3 months from now. They give 4% on the total amount, and then just added $6, that's not how I would have programmed it to calculate based on the description above, but I am not complaining, got $10 for a new account as well.

I just received a flyer in the mail with two one-time use codes for 15% off $50. I miss the common 20% off $50 coupons :(

Seems these 25% is common enough. It used to be you have to wait months and we now have it about once a month recently.

Got it yesterday. It's OK. I was banking on the 2k lb rating meaning it was relatively sturdy- well the top leaves a lot to be desired. Looking at how I can get a piece of 1/4" steel bent to match it for a reasonable price. My go-to quick turn fab shop wanted $200 bucks- half the price of the cart. Other than that I think it will work out fine, its a good starting point to build off of anyway.

I just received a flyer in the mail with two one-time use codes for 15% off $50.

I used that to pick up a CDI 1002MFRMH 3/8-Inch Drive Metal Handle Click Type Wrench. One seller on Amazon had them for $130 for awhile but I drug my feet too long and everyone seems to have gone up. Amazon is at $153. Zoro has it at $126.96 with free shipping. After 15% off, with sales tax, I ended up with it for $115.

Sent the PO to the fab shop yesterday. will post pics when I've got it all put together next week. Considering I didn't have to build the whole thing still a good purchase.

I haven’t had a chance to put the Dake together yet, but I am fairly well impressed with Zoro’s shipping. I ordered it Tuesday night and got it today (on Thursday) at noon!

I ordered some Wera screwdrivers, Bussman fuses, and 3M electrical tape yesterday... It all arrived today. Prices were cheaper than Amazon or elsewhere, shipping was quick and cheap. Even without a coupon, Zoro is a good bet for some things.

Anyone have a 20% or better yet, a 25% off code/coupon? Cart total is at least $250 so a minimum spend is fine if it's not too high.

Thanks!

Found a 20% one - "YESAPR"...hoping to find a 25% or higher code. Cart total is over $500 before discount, so a high min spend is not an issue.

The last two 25% off had been approximately 10 days apart. so you may just want to wait a little longer.

And it is going to be a public code that you see on the website instead of code you have to "find"

Was able to buy all the stuff I need with the SAFESAVE code except for a dust extractor. Hoping another generic 25%+ discount code pops up soon!

Thanks for posting SAFESAVE.

I was very happily surprised to get a rare 25% off deal on a Stabila magnetic digital level!

I missed you Zoro!

Does anyone have a feel for when the next round of coupons is coming out? I’ve got a shopping cart just waiting for a code!

A few years ago I bought a lot of gear from Zoro; welder, plasma cutter, grinders, etc., but then they started the long "blocked brands" list. For the past ~2 years I have only purchased from them a few times using coupons, but not like I used to.

I have a list of items I am waiting to find a good deal on that I plan to buy for my shop, but all but one item is on the blocked brands list, and they don't carry that item.

So when the next 25% coupon arrives, I am curious what items/brands are available to purchase, i.e. not blocked? Am I missing out on anything that maybe I should consider adding to my list that are a good deal with a 25% coupon? The last few of those coupons I got went unused.

Thanks.
