i think the move is to have multiple zoro accounts. like 5 or more of them, and be subbed to their mailing list on each. i'm getting different offers on different ones. some of them i've made no purchases on, some i've made one purchase on (using the 10% intro coupon).

i have a couple for you.

I've decided to buy my own Christmas present since no one else will buy it for me. :) Looking for a 20% coupon if anyone has one to share. Thanks in advance.

I know this has been spoken about in the past but I'm utterly blown away by how much waste and shipping by Zoro for my last order (thank you GJ for the coupon code).

Here's the six boxes I received today from Fedex at the same time for only a couple of items, all shown together in second pic that could have fit in a box half the size of just one of these, two boxes again only had 1 pen in them. Two days ago I received another same sized box with only 1 pen in it. Still waiting for three other items.

Am I crazy to think this is crazy?

Not at all. BUT.... on the other end of the spectrum, you have Amazon that will ship something made of glass along with a hammer in a padded mailer and expect it to arrive safely. OK, maybe my example may be a stretch BUT they are terrible at protecting their products from being damaged in transportation.

Zoro has some good deals and prices but they are terrible and being efficient at packing items. All my orders are like above boxes many times to big for what is being shipped. They must get a GREAT deal on boxes and shipping from fedex.

My order came out to well under $100 so yeah, they must get almost free shipping from Fedex. I still have two more items coming with two tracking numbers. 10 boxes total for 15 small items. They're definitely protecting items way better than Amazon, that's for sure but a single $2 marker pen in a 12 pack of beer size carton filled packing material? I had three like that.

Sorry for the rant, I'm definitely a consumer but this is wild.

Does anyone know if there's a way to combine your order to one shipment with Zoro? Usually my stuff from Zoro is not a rush.

I don’t know if you can combine it, I think they have multiple wear houses and I know some items are drop shipped straight from the MFG. Send them an email or call them Monday and give them some consumer feedback. Yes it a waste, I always keep a couple boxes around to ship stuff and keep packing materials as well and recycle the rest.

I’m guessing they have multiple shipping departments in each warehouse, maybe 1 for every few aisles of inventory. Rather than collect items from far ends of a huge warehouse to package together, they just ship multiple boxes to cut down on in-house logistics. Their shipping contract likely allows them to do this without added expense.

Same here, unfortunately. Usually the generic-looking codes seem to work for everyone. They seem to be pulling an eBay here.

For the best though cause I used a 15% discount code the night before and would've been a wee bit upset if there was a 20% code the next day!

Sorry if I was unclear, NEWYR20 is what the code starts with. The entire code is NEWYR20XXXXXXXXX. The X's represent unique numbers. I'm sure it's a one time code.

I posted NEWYR20 because if you got the email and didn't notice or it went to spam it makes it easier to search. The email subject was "Ready for 2021? Restock and Save BIG".

i'm telling you guys. the key to codes is MORE ACCOUNTS.*

make like 5-10 accounts and leave **** in the cart for all of them. rotate which ones you buy on.

obviously it's not as good as it used to be, but at least you'll get 1+ of each code type if you do it this way.

*based on my observations so far. i could be wrong i guess.

I know you have to play the game but having 5 email accounts to check is a lot getting to be much. I have 2 account with items in my cart and neither got a code. Actually both carts were emptied.

You don't need to check different email accounts if you're a Gmail user - just sign up for a new account adding a +1 to your existing email address (i.e.if your email address is [email protected], sign up using [email protected]). Zoro will see it as a new account, and Gmail will forward any emails received at that address to the original account.

No worries. Am just going to wait. The stuff sitting in my cart is not critical at all.

Am not going to let Zoro bait me with a 10% coupon and am too lazy to do this multiple account strategy.

Interesting - The things I learn on GJ! I see other uses for this as well. Does it have to be the number 1 or will any number work?

They just sent me a 10% off coupon for $125+ and I took the bait. The cox pressure washer hose reel I ordered was already over $100 cheaper than someone that sells them and over $30 cheaper than amazon, I'm happy.

Ya'll gonna end up getting the same email 40 times. That would drive me up the wall.
