Tips for Zoro shopping that I have run into several times:
1)I think they must have multiple buyers or suppliers or something even for some of their same brands, as sometimes the same item will be on their site twice for completely different prices. Sometimes it doesn't show up in the same category or even brand (ie. Williams vs Snap-on Industrial). Best bet if you are interested in something is to search by part number and variations of the part number. Like if a part number is ABC1234 - search for 1234, as sometimes it's listed differently! It's almost an art. Sometimes spending a few extra minutes can save you decent money!
Here's an example -- I was looking at a Ken-Tool Flip Socket set # 30111, which is the OEM for Blue-point and Matco, etc. Search one way and the item shows part number KEN30111 (Zoro # G3349527) for $157. But search by just the last part of the part number and you find it under 30111 (Zoro # G2925655) for $121! That's a $36 difference!
2) It's been mentioned before, but just in case, if you don't have any discount codes - (create an account if you don't already have one), sign into your account, add the items to your cart, and then just close out and give it a day or so. Majority of the time an email will show up with a 10% or 15% discount code. Don't remember if I've gotten a 20% out of that, but it's possible. Again though, very little work (waiting a day) and you can save big money.
