Probably aging myself, I bought a Zylis vice in the 70’s and it’s still in the box, first, does anyone remember them? Second , I’m going to adapt it to mount in a “T” rail on my roll around workbench . They are light duty but very adaptable tools for holding small items

I remember seeing them hawked at the state fair years ago. At the time, I wanted one badly but wouldn't spend the money.
I bought one at a woodworking show, probably nearly 40 years ago. It has seen occasional use through the years.

I too saw them demonstrated at a fair, but did not have the money to spend. 40 years later; i have learned that i can do without one.

My grandfather gave me one 35 years ago. I'm not sure where he got it from but I recall the box wasn't new when I got it. I was young then and still have it but I recall it is not very user friendly.

I've bought two of them at swap meets over the years because they were cheap. I've got $30 in the pair. Only use I've had for them is when I'm working in the man basket lifted by the forklift. Works pretty good for that and with one on either end I can clamp a pretty long piece. Ed.

I picked up a knock-off (Renovator) for just a few bucks. I use it maybe every other year, particularly on my outside bench. I know that I'm missing some opportunities, because the vise does have some interesting features. I think the problem is that I'm too lazy to dig it out and set it up, and it's not the most robust thing in the world. I like your t-track idea-- that way it'll be right at hand.

I have one with all the attachments/accessories. Used it maybe once/twice.
Bought it YEARS (30? more?) ago at county fair or home show.
Still in the box. Seemed like such a good idea a the time but just never got utilized.
