Heaven in New Zealand

So these pictures were posted on our sister site (The Jalopy Journal) a while back and I’ve been meaning to post them here for a while now. About all I can tell you about these heavenly shots is that they were taken somewhere in New Zealand. That’s all I got… Somehow, however, that’s all you need. Words would almost screw this up.

Check it out:

In Nelson in the South Island I believe.
I also understand that he "imports" all those bodies from the USA.
I don't think they are originally NZ cars.
So it seems you guys in the States are missing out and we kiwis are
better off for it ... cheers ..:beer:

How come there are no weeds growing up in those cars?

They have these animals called sheep.

Waiting for a Kiwi to comment. Plenty of places like that south of the equator if you know where to look for them.

Well HOTFR8...This could be a money making event for you. You can set up tours of NZ, have us stay at your hotel, eat at your restaurants. You could even hurry up and build a hotrod limo to pick us all up at the airport.

Geeze mate.
Why would you think an Ozzie stirrer would want to set up tours of NZ? :lol_hitti

Sorry I could not resist . Nice to know the Kiwis and Aussies can still share a good laugh. Specialy after the tragedy in Christchurch.

And we can have Justanoldguy serving us LAMB on the BBQ just for us. That is after I get over there from Australia. :lol_hitti

Some one told me recently only 25% of those in the USA have a passport to leave the country. Not sure just how correct that is but more Kiwis and Aussies travel to the USA and get all that vintage tin and take it out of the USA.

I'm always amazed at how similar the hotrodding is between the US and the Aussies and Kiwi's. Most of the pictures I see from "down under" could have been taken in the US, and vise versa. The occasional Ute is the only giveaway!

Really a bit of a bizarre coincidence, but I have in my hand a business card from the gentleman from NZ in my hand.

While I was out taking my damn cat to the vet, he and a couple of other guys stopped by my place and took a tour of my back yard, and had just left when I returned home so I didn't get to meet him.
I'm supposed to see him at the Boise Idaho swap meet at Firebird Receway tomorrow, and I'll tell him about this thread. I think he's a member on HAMB, but don't know for certain.
