Ryan, you usually find cool stuff and I'm almost always impressed with what you turn us on to, but I'm not feeling this one.

His array of tools is impressive, though.

He has some amazing fabrication skills, that box was very nicely done (although i cringed a couple times seeing how close his fingers were to the saw blade.) I wasn't exactly sure what the end product was...is it some kind Gameboy arcade game? I'm totally clueless about those sorts of things. It would have been cooler if it was a mini-computer or iPad or smart phone or something in that beautiful box.

Honestly, I have no idea. I'm not a gamer.

But holy hell his work is amazing... his work bench project is out of this world.

Ehh. Interesting look, but I don't see the functionality. Who has an hour for the monitor to pop up out of the work bench? Time is money.

Yeah, I think a lot of his stuff in impractical? I don't know anything about those games for instance... But, it's his means to getting there, the materials he uses, etc... that really impresses me.

That is cool. It reminds me of how they used to imagine the modern automated world, back in 1950s movies or magazines - everyone would have a little console on their desk with pushbuttons and dials to control things in the room.

As for some of the responses here from the other guys - sure, his stuff doesn't seem very practical, but that's not the point. Sometimes you build stuff just to build stuff, not to serve a good and logical purpose. :)

Some one off stuff that would probably fetch some cash to the right person. If it doesn't probably just hobby stuff like the rest of us when we go out to our garage to fiddle around.

He's into the aesthetics of things. It's like those guys who spend $200K building a 2017 version of a 1968 Camaro.

Personally I'm more interested in how the thing works rather than how it looks. I'd prefer to watch AVE make a crazy tool out of baling wire and bubble gum and laugh at his jokes along the way. You can probably tell that about me because I haven't bothered to put a picture in for my ID.

Form vs function. To each his own. Ryan I watched one of your videos about building something out of wood - seems like you go for both - I can appreciate that.

Really cool video, thanks.

I like that it's just a really impractical and unique project that's showing off his skills.

Is it fair to call a project "handmade" when it was built in a shop with thousands of dollars worth of tools? Nice work but I would love to see that done with a chisel and a small bock plane.
