I think it rocks, there is so much room for adding more tools. Build out the door panels, which it looks like there are already 2 large pockets to hold stuff. I'm also just a big fan of anything different.

Man, I've been looking at that and thinking...
You could use it as a stash for your shop TV, stereo and small fridge...
Take the wheels off a roll-away and set it in there.
Build shelves all the way across and store power tools and odd tools that don't have a home in your tool box...I've already got a shelf with a lot of these tools on it--that would secure them.
Store shop supplies in it.
Make can racks for the inside of the door and put all your WD40, brake cleaner and degreasers in them.
Closet for hanging shop coats, cover-alls, etc.
Book case and bolts bins.

You could even cut it off below the doors and set it on the ground, and use it that way, getting rid of the casters etc.

There's a WHOLE LOT that could be done with that, and it wouldn't take up much more space than some of the storage we already have in our shop.

I'm gonna keep my eyes open...

I like that!

I've seen parts of vehicles mounted on walls for various effects - fronts of cars with the headlights that work, dashes with working radio and speakers, backseat couches, and such. But the idea of turning something into a storage cabinet like that has all sorts of potential.

I sort of question the casters, though. I thought it was built against the wall until I read the text. Seems the height, weight, and narrow width would make it prone to tipping over.

I love stuff like this. It's definitely a better use than the scrap heap - abd the ideas offered could really make it hold a lot of tools! Might be something like that in my future -I especially like the idea of making it an entertainment centre - I have two boys that would LOVE it!

Awesome............. simply great. Now the wheels are turning. As someone else mentioned you see couches, desks, etc all made out of front clips, trunks, etc.. but this is one of those "now why didn't I think of that" sort of things. Excellent.

That is cool!
Like other people said they've seen different things in garages. A buddy of mine has a van seat bolted to the floor in his shop, it has cupholders and seatbelts built on.
If you make too much use of the cupholders, you'll need the seatbelts :D
