Baileigh Winter Project Contest: Winner!

After two weeks of stiff competition with over 100 entrants from the jalopyjournal.com, jockeyjournal.com, and garagejournal.com, Baileigh has picked their winner. It wasn’t an easy task as each site had guys that really brought a lot to the table. In the end, however, the award goes to a young man that really understands the spirit of… well, just getting stuff done.

Enough of my banter, here’s your announcement:

You can read more about “CustomJ” and his project here. Congrats Jay and thanks so much to everyone that participated and, of course, thanks to Baileigh for giving away such a killer prize!

Just awesome!!! The kid's just in his early twenties and he's already mastered these metal skills to such a high degree. He attended WyoTech, but you can't teach that craft to such a high level in a school setting. It's pure talent. He does upholstery, metal and MIG welding with (from looking at the pics) just a basic Lincoln welder setup.

That boy will go far!!! Congratulations on winning the contest -- no one deserves the tools more than you kid!!

This car is beautiful but what's with that engine? Is that a 1969 153 Cu In GM 4 banger? If you MUST use a 4 cylinder, why not a Quad-four?

Its just would not be traditional to use that motor in this type of a build.

He also may have already had the motor in the shop.
