Bosch is selling something similar to the T-Boxx in the states.
Not to be too picky, but the Bosch product is more like the Sortimo L-Boxx.
The T-Boxx is a parts tray with a transparent lid.
The Sortimo metal version is simply called the Sortimo Case. This is their legacy product.
Sortimo also has a M-Boxx that is designed as a drawer container- it fits onto their standard vehicle racking.
The Sortimo Case can be ordered and configured into a variety of layouts. It is really confusing if you have little familiarity with the product. I'm sure that the only USA distributor of this stuff loves questions...
There are two sizes (heights) of those little colored plastic trays. The double height Sortimo Case uses the same inserts as the T-Boxx, and probably the L-Boxx.
The plastic trays can probably be used in stuff like Lista toolboxes. You can buy them separately.
The grey inserts in the L-Boxx is where the useless space is. Those are not configurable due to the shape of the plastic box.
The double layer metal case in my pictures, as delivered with tray and inserts, is ~$240.00.
The T-Boxxes run ~$90 each.
A good part of the price is the plastic inserts. I would suggest buying one that has a variety of insert sizes, then order extras.
The T-Boxxes are built really well. What doesn't show up well in the pictures (even in the Sortimo catalog) is the deep embossing in the lid to keep the inserts in place (note- the top of the clear lid is smooth). There are also locator points on the bottom. The plastic inserts, used in the T-Boxx, will not move around if you take some of them out... like 10x better than the Stanley stuff at the big box stores.
The Sortimo Case does not have any locating or retention points, so they have to be full of the plastic inserts to keep them in place. If you look closely at the picture labeled "empty", you can see the slots made to hold the dividers available for the metal Case. A removable tray keeps the upper layer of inserts together. They won't fall out, unless you take something out of the middle.
These are unique items that can take organization to the next level.
