The Ultimate Shop Drafting Table
I found this 1940’s Vard drafting table at an architectural salvage place the other day. It might be the single most incredible shop piece I’ve ever laid my eyes on. Beautifully cast from both iron and aluminum, the table must way hundreds of pounds but the retractable wheels made it easily moveable. All the mechanics of the table are just as silky smooth as you imagine… Put simply, it’s glorious.
