I would think the car stored underground would be subject to a lot more moisture/corrosion unless they installed something to remedy that.

More information is needed! It looks neat, but (as posted earlier) what about humidity below? Any safety mechanisms to keep the upper vehicle safe?

And is it only for below-ground storage, or is there another use it was designed for?

I think it raises one car up so that it can watch out that window. While the other one rests below at ground level.

Um.....ok, it's different and there surely must be good a purpose but just looking at it here, the car only goes up a short distance then there appears to be a drop off at the door. Wonder what's going on here.

If he drives the top car out, I believe it will go all the way up so he can pull a second car into the bottom, lower it, then drive the second car in the top. The picture we are seeing is just the owner showing it off I think.

Now, that's something you don't see everyday......
To read the rest of this blog entry from The Garage Journal, click here.

I would think the auto put away underground would be liable to significantly more dampness/consumption unless they introduced something to cure that.

That is a remarkably beautiful garage & lift!
I have researched a number of parking lifts, even went to visit some of the factories over in China. Here in Chicago, they have put so many restrictions on using parking lifts that it just doesn't make sense to do it anymore.
A few of the sites I visited over there below!

and this one, I could see being used to condense parking in some of the larger cities here...unfortunately, bringing something like this up to the engineering and architectural standards in the USA would probably make it cost prohibitive...

Utah...SNOW BLOWS!
This is really cool:bowdown:. For those that don't have Instagram here are some more pics I was able to pull. The lift was made by http://wohr.com.au/en

Thanks for finding & posting those photos! The building itself is sure an odd design, with only two walls & a horizontally sliding door. I like the door idea, but why leave it open on the one side? Seems to me that it would collect a lot of leaves, dirt & whatever else.

Regarding the lift, I think it's a cool idea & would love to have one! Here is a LINK to a Colorado company who makes similar underground lifts.

And a video link HERE
