Randy you have more stories than Carter has liver pills. What a connection to the car & people you have found out.
Good luck with the sale of F100R.
Of those stories less than 1% have been told. The connections to this one never stop. I had no idea how many people remember the car and the connections with it. A lot of this I have learned in last week. I knew nothing after it disappeared back in 1983 until now.

From the guy when born then driven home from hospital in it, now the kid it fell on then today his daughter most did not know existed calls me only to find out a family connection from years ago. Then Sunday I find out a uncle I only heard of as uncle wally who passed away in a auto accident 16 yrs before I was born. I had 3 that were "relatives" just never sunk it they were his sons. Now to find out today Uncle Wally was married married to a sister of this gal's grandfather. When does this circle stop? That her grandfather was same age as my dad and they worked together in underground mines and siblings had visited each others homes and were friends of family?

I also learned today that the daughter of Mark (person who car fell on and killed him) That her Husband is related to one of my best friends at the time that was driving my new 1979 Little Red Express in the parade, I was driving the Boss that her Father Mark spotted in parade and felt he had to own it.

This was the Negaunee Michigan 100 yr parade. A "founding father" of Negaunee was riding on back bumper of the little red my friend Al was driving think that was lead vehicle where they tried to have a vehicle from every year of the 100 yrs and when possible have a gal who graduated that year riding in that year car. Two gals who graduated in '79 riding with Al, Gal who graduated in 1970 Riding with me in the '70 Boss 302. Mark was around watching the parade. I was running open headers! High Compression 429SCJ with a roudy cam. Hey, someone in city called me as they did not have a vehicle to use for 1970 or 1979. After that the harassment from city cops stopped 100% as prior when I pulled into town if I was spotted by a cop they would follow me until I left city limits, when I did the back roads to Ishpeming cop was waiting and would follow me until I left town! Cat n mouse for sure. Those Lucas Driving lamps on front and the switch on dash turning off taillights did wonders . . Once again another story for a different day! As prior owner Dennis would admit they came i n handy! "The Vanishing Boss". Oh the stories one could tell . .

Dealer called to verify color and options on my Raptor R! Getting real now!
Hoping auction goes well and the timing is right!

My R is being scheduled soon and should get VIN soon. That will be a day to remember.
Easy to remember as my F100R is 23yrs ownership today.

Keeping it different than other R's would like to drop it about a foot, remove the side graphics and paint the wheel flares to match.

Give it a few minutes and will change my mind to something else.. Just excited and had to share once again.

Thats sweet , I hope it all works out for you. Have the new raptor for travel and daily driver and still rebuild your dad's clone pickup, seems like a win win

That’s the plan! Will get Rainbow 🌈 Ranger finished then sell, most likely same with Eco2. They both should bring good $$. Sell a couple more projects. Get it down to a minimum. Figure out what to do with N crew. Make into camper or get on road see what it would bring maybe on BaT. Would rather do dads clone sooner than later. Do it while i am able. Plenty of other stuff to do. Gotta make room so all can be inside garages. 5 1/2 mo until retirement.

So I told her about my current truck how it will run across block on April Fool's day hoping it may leave $$ to buy my first car back so I have April fools jokes to tell either way. She then said guess when my birthday is: No clue . . April 1st!

That's my daughter's birthday, too. Unfortunately, I don't think I can afford to buy her the F100R for her 10th b-day...

Started cleaning truck yesterday after getting the CalTrac bars installed. Used a different cleaner than “Magic” soap but late last night and this morning fighting another flare-up on hand/fingers. Either that or ate too many peanut blossom cookies!

Very small portion cleaned. Right rear wheel tub, caliper and rotor. Bit of frame in area.

Maybe I missed it, but do you wear nitrile gloves while using chemicals?

Glove protection has a history of science behind it, having worked in an industry that required it has shown me most of the people I know don't understand how to correctly use gloves to protect the hands. Gloves have a rating that measures what is called breakthrough, which is the moment the chemical can get past the glove protection and start being absorbed into your skin. I use nitrile glove in my shop all the time but not for everything. Changing oil, they work great and protect the hands very well, panel welding prep using acetone and the breakthrough is about a minute before acetone is being absorbed into the skin.
Randy the only reason I wanted to post this is to help with your situations.
Here is a chart that shows which shows glove compatibility.
You might want to look at the ingredients in the soap and see if the gloves your using are giving you the protection needed.
You might also keep in mind your body is telling you "no more" and have to go above and beyond on the PPE side of the when it comes to chemicals. "my opinion".

Don't think I have posted this vid before. Just uploaded.
willing to sell for what I spent on or what I have receipts for. Arizona changed the laws for once a bike rider turns 65 which was last year.
One has to go in for testing every 5 yrs. Which means I would have to load bike on car trailer drive half way across town. Unload etc too much hassle as I will most likely never ride the bike those days are long over.

1) Value of bike prior to restoration gotta be worth something

2) I have receipts for 3600.00 who knows the real cost

3) I have written down 220 hours in this bike for everything done. Stupid detail not to mention the health cost with cleaning agents etc

so, 3600.00 is my bottom dollar, 220 hours plus overhead is a lot to lose at a time I can't afford to lose it.

I have owners manual, multiple shop manuals, bike lock, Yamaha YICS tuning tool NOS used once, bike lock, tool kit,
It is turn key ready inc a full tank of 91, valves were adjusted, fresh oil n filter x2, tires are new, so many NOS parts to remember.
The NOS seat and NOS brake master were 2 largest ticket items. 350.00 for seat and just under 300.00 for master, emblems were 150.00 each then the carb parts were stupid expensive. Anything else seemed to be 80.00 each.

If ya know anyone looking for a nice older bike . . Play in 4k

I seldom do anything or handling of anything without gloves anymore. These are for any type liquids and the ridgecut normal daily non liquids. Wife just bought a box of these black nitrile to try as not good with any others i have tried. I can only wear typical a few min at a time and they dont do much. Hard to find any glove large enough.

These new black nitrile i will try for polishing wheels. Yesterday total black hands, face and about only soap that cuts it well is ivory liquid. Yesterday i did my natural soap with scotch brite. Really tough getting the Luster I want on wheels trying everything every combo I have on hand. Was not wearing gloves last night but so far no effect. Will try the new black ones see how comfy they are. Arthritis in my hands can't stand anything tight.

Hoping this will be last time polishing wheels.

I had help initial cleaning, i stayed back n watched. Never get into soaps or cleaning agents without the heavy green gloves on.
I think it could also be airborne stuff which i try to wear a 3m respirator.

Attempting to clean on backroom hoist with steamer but too much water. Need person on squeegee

Once i get rear wheels polished and on can move to outside 2 post lift. Nobody to help gotta do it myself. Hoping i don’t have to pull cab or front clip to replace AC compressor. I bought the newest version that came out December 2022.

May I suggest for wheels, try the Ammo Gelee Pro Wheel & Metal coat.
I tried it last year on 3 sets of wheels.
I was skeptical but I must say, it makes cleaning wheels a total breeze.
It's not cheap ($90 for a small bottle) but you can do probably 3 sets of wheels with one bottle.
I already had some use / age on these wheels when I coated them.
If I had done the Methods from new it would have been better

So when I got a set of wheels for my 4Runner recently (last pic), I coated them before I even had tire mounted.
I have washed the 4Runner wheels a few times now and brake dust just rinses / wipes off.

I do have some Ceramic coat that works really really well. It has taken many days to get the final polish just on rear wheels but they now look better than when new. At no time since on truck have they looked this good. More sanding but can buff the 1200 grit scratches and finally found the right combo of compound at buff wheel along with proper RPM. Jeesh, wish I could get paid for this stuff. Will find out soon enough. Hand starting to heal now. Interesting thing happened this time I had to do one day multiple times with the Benadryl and usually do multiple times per week with some type reaction but now it's been a few days with Zero needed! Won't hold my breath on that.

Product recall on Fabulousa,a cleaning product contaminated with bacteria. Are you using it ?
Using this. They sent me some a while back to do comparison between it and my Magic soap. Supposed to be “safe” on all wheels but really really stained the aluminum and most likely what caused latest reactions. Looks like my cleaning days are about over as much as i enjoy the before & after stuff. 3CCC6C9C-C721-4217-81B8-378690CA1C37.jpeg

Edit add: After posting saw the DANGER may cause burns to eyes and skin on bottom of bottle. Strong but NASTY stuff!

Thought of you when I saw this - for sale near me for $1500.

Do prefer the 1966 vs my 1965 F600 but that one looks a bit rusty! If my truck sells will keep both the 1965 N and F600's for down the never happen road to restore. Would be fun to build a Crew Cab bit truck! I have a couple extra cabs along with a truck to copy. Maybe Suicide rear doors just because.

Bullet, that’s just wrong

Instead of twisting up our pal randy, why don’t you just start pouring shots of whiskey at some random AA meeting 🎉😖
He can get away with it when it's so far away and it's rusty! Not even tempted!!

Hey Bullet, Where is it at so I can check on shipping? o_O

Just remembered when the wife fly's out of town that means I can buy another truck!

Pretty sure mr carter died May 1st 1892! So yeah, I can tell more stories now than he can! He was a good friend back then though!
He was over telling stories at my retirement party . .

Delivered bike to town 60 mi closer to where buyer was located. He borrowed a M/C trailer.

I asked if he had one prior. He said:eek:h, plan is mostly for engine to build dirt track racer out of. Figured bike in such nice shape he can part it out and get his $$ back!
So 100% of my effort and $ to someone who could care less!

Well, at least i got majority of $$ back.

Truck pulled trailer very nicely’!
Trailer empty 2500lb and oh was being able to split gears with a kickdown nice! Figured would burn good part of tank pulling trailer but under a quarter tank! Really really good mileage. 0342EEEB-827C-4937-B117-3D9B759A96DD.jpegD72CED8B-F2BD-41D0-A768-9450BDD1C95F.jpeg239F2699-1226-4F5B-A881-7363D946BF3C.jpeg
