Randy you have more stories than Carter has liver pills. What a connection to the car & people you have found out.
Good luck with the sale of F100R.

Of those stories less than 1% have been told. The connections to this one never stop. I had no idea how many people remember the car and the connections with it. A lot of this I have learned in last week. I knew nothing after it disappeared back in 1983 until now.Randy you have more stories than Carter has liver pills. That’s the plan! Will get RainbowThats sweet , I hope it all works out for you. Have the new raptor for travel and daily driver and still rebuild your dad's clone pickup, seems like a win win
So I told her about my current truck how it will run across block on April Fool's day hoping it may leave $$ to buy my first car back so I have April fools jokes to tell either way. She then said guess when my birthday is: No clue . . April 1st!
Sell some stuff...That's my daughter's birthday, too. Unfortunately, I don't think I can afford to buy her the F100R for her 10th b-day...

Maybe I missed it, but do you wear nitrile gloves while using chemicals?Started cleaning truck yesterday after getting the CalTrac bars installed. Used a different cleaner than “Magic” soap but late last night and this morning fighting another flare-up on hand/fingers. Either that or ate too many peanut blossom cookies!
Very small portion cleaned. Right rear wheel tub, caliper and rotor. Bit of frame in area.

I seldom do anything or handling of anything without gloves anymore. These are for any type liquids and the ridgecut normal daily non liquids. Wife just bought a box of these black nitrile to try as not good with any others i have tried. I can only wear typical a few min at a time and they dont do much. Hard to find any glove large enough.Glove protection has a history of science behind it, having worked in an industry that required it has shown me most of the people I know don't understand how to correctly use gloves to protect the hands. Gloves have a rating that measures what is called breakthrough, which is the moment the chemical can get past the glove protection and start being absorbed into your skin. I use nitrile glove in my shop all the time but not for everything. Changing oil, they work great and protect the hands very well, panel welding prep using acetone and the breakthrough is about a minute before acetone is being absorbed into the skin.
Randy the only reason I wanted to post this is to help with your situations.
Here is a chart that shows which shows glove compatibility.
You might want to look at the ingredients in the soap and see if the gloves your using are giving you the protection needed.
You might also keep in mind your body is telling you "no more" and have to go above and beyond on the PPE side of the when it comes to chemicals. "my opinion".

I do have some Ceramic coat that works really really well. It has taken many days to get the final polish just on rear wheels but they now look better than when new. At no time since on truck have they looked this good. More sanding but can buff the 1200 grit scratches and finally found the right combo of compound at buff wheel along with proper RPM. Jeesh, wish I could get paid for this stuff. Will find out soon enough. Hand starting to heal now. Interesting thing happened this time I had to do one day multiple times with the Benadryl and usually do multiple times per week with some type reaction but now it's been a few days with Zero needed! Won't hold my breath on that.May I suggest for wheels, try the Ammo Gelee Pro Wheel & Metal coat.
I tried it last year on 3 sets of wheels.
I was skeptical but I must say, it makes cleaning wheels a total breeze.
It's not cheap ($90 for a small bottle) but you can do probably 3 sets of wheels with one bottle.
I already had some use / age on these wheels when I coated them.
If I had done the Methods from new it would have been better
So when I got a set of wheels for my 4Runner recently (last pic), I coated them before I even had tire mounted.
I have washed the 4Runner wheels a few times now and brake dust just rinses / wipes off.
Using this. They sent me some a while back to do comparison between it and my Magic soap. Supposed to be “safe” on all wheels but really really stained the aluminum and most likely what caused latest reactions. Looks like my cleaning days are about over as much as i enjoy the before & after stuff.Product recall on Fabulousa,a cleaning product contaminated with bacteria. Are you using it ?

Do prefer the 1966 vs my 1965 F600 but that one looks a bit rusty! If my truck sells will keep both the 1965 N and F600's for down the never happen road to restore. Would be fun to build a Crew Cab bit truck! I have a couple extra cabs along with a truck to copy. Maybe Suicide rear doors just because.
Bullet, that’s just wrong
He can get away with it when it's so far away and it's rusty! Not even tempted!!Bullet, that’s just wrong
Instead of twisting up our pal randy, why don’t you just start pouring shots of whiskey at some random AA meeting![]()
Pretty sure mr carter died May 1st 1892! So yeah, I can tell more stories now than he can! He was a good friend back then though!Randy you have more stories than Carter has liver pills. What a connection to the car & people you have found out.
