Craftsman 6” Vice - Replacement Jaw Plate?

I have an older (20yo?) Craftsman 6” vice with a broken jaw plate. I may be using the incorrect term - referring to the metal fastened to the actual vice that’s removable.

I’m about to start another car project and am tired of nursing the broken piece to work. Does anyone make replacements?

I’ll get pics later for ease of understanding.

Thanks!

Edit to add - I have only found one replacement option for $60. That seems really expensive considering other options are $20, but unknown compatibilit.

Look at these:

According to ereplacement parts the jaw faces are obsolete, but the part number is 87005S41 which matches above. Length is 6.5 inches. The model number of the vise is slightly different but jaws look similar.

Thank you!! I didn’t think to cross-reference the p/n. I was focused on the vise model #.

$20 vs $60 is a no-brainer! I’ll order a set right away!

Looking at your close up picture I'd recommend that when you get your new jaws that you take a file to the casting to make sure that it is flat and has good contact between the jaw and the body. You may have a bow in the seat that puts additional stress on the jaw. Your new jaws may also need a bit of straightening. I'd also be tempted to cut the jaws shorter so that they are fully supported and not hanging out like they are now.

If you order them, post up what you get and how they work out. I'm needing a new one myself and considered just making one out of piece of aluminum.
