You’re right. I’m going to order two more Plyworx racks and do as you describe. Thanks for the ideas!Honestly, looks like your most used pliers are in the rack while the whole drawer is being used to inefficiently store some of the least used pliers that anyone would own.
Get the most used pliers out and in the open laying flat.
Take the huge box of snap ring pliers and get them in the racks on the left.
Throw the Gearwrench hose pliers in the rack to the left also. Throw the plastic tray away.
That's how my drawer looks like once or twice per year when I reorganize it. Otherwise it's just a pile of pliers, the most used ones at the handle and the least used ones at the back

My thought is that clearly you don't have enough projects. It isn’t completely terrible as it currently is, but I feel like I can do better. Thoughts?
Who makes that?
Plyworx PLR14 or something like that…25 bucks on Amazon. That pics has 3 of them lined up.Who makes that?

Pliers are NOT a game. You better straighten up and fly right.I really need to step up my plier game.
Did some reorganization during lunch today. I placed all of the “frequently used” pliers in the SW corner of the drawer.I like those plier organizers. They look really nice.
I went with a 6ft piece of wire closet shelf and a few minutes of my time.
I can tell from looking at the drawer that my best pair of cannon plug pliers is missing. I only paid a dollar for them, but they are a $45 pair of pliers… and now I have a new thing to be upset about…

Semi regularly - I do a lot of Toyota axle boots. How often are you using a CV boot clamp installer? If it's once and never again, get that thing out of the prime real estate area.
Special service tool for replacing the Snap-On drawer slides. What's the Instinct handled Snap On tool in the upper right?

During this exercise, I remembered why the pliers were organized how they were - not all of the slots are the same size. Due to varying grip thickness, organizing by type will be an issue…at least with this particular type of rack.
So, back to the drawing board. Maybe this is the best it’ll get.

Unfortunately they are not. They vary in size.I’ve had those plier organizers in my Amazon list for awhile.
All the slots are not the same size/uniform?

My toolbox looked like that once... around 30 years ago when the toolboxes were stuffed. That's how my drawer looks like once or twice per year when I reorganize it. Otherwise it's just a pile of pliers, the most used ones at the handle and the least used ones at the back
Love that style of automatic wire strippers.
