^ I've still never found the spinner but I know there's black ratchets out there and at least one or two black six-inch extensions. They are out there in unicorn territory, though. Did find a few unmarked black units recently. No clue. :dunno:

I picked this set up off of eBay because I had never seen that style of all metal spinner in Walden before. I did a quick check of the available Walden catalogs and couldn’t find any info on the spinner. The handle pulls up and freewheels or snaps down and works like a normal spinner. It has a female drive end so it can be used as an extension. The set also came with three sockets for use with square nuts, which I’ve also never seen in Walden before.

I recently found an unusual 1/4” drive Walden extension so I dug out the set that I started the thread with. It always gets the odd items. It has the same number as the more common extensions but is shorter and much thinner. It appears to be cad plated 5DEC532A-809F-42A1-A208-8CD6ED85C3C9.jpeg
Here it is in the oddball Walden set. EFC8DC41-FFFF-478C-8C1F-9D6C0D0ABCD1.jpeg
While I had the Walden box open I made up this postwar chrome set with a variety of chrome extras. It would just be a user set as I doubt that it matches any catalog set.CCCF683A-ADAC-4BE4-9965-EDA03BBBEED2.jpeg

They look just fine and I’m happy they came from a GJ member. Those black and yellow spinners are probably about as rare as the dark finish ratchets.

So I was going through some of my 1/4" drive sets the other day and realized that my black oxide Walden set doesn't have a ratchet. I guess I sold that one before I should have. Oh well, perhaps I will come across another :p

I traded another collector for this Walden No. 21 drain plug set. It’s missing the #1124 driver and cross bar (pictured below from AA).

I spotted this Walden set on eBay. The sockets were nothing special but the dark finish extensions are hard to find. They will be added to some dark finish sets that are missing them. 91B1A39D-D01A-4223-8680-FEF129F2A4F0.jpegBB35CB85-48B1-4C1F-B22E-9BD724B105A0.jpeg
I found this DBE wrench at an estate sale on Saturday. It is marked the same on both sides.

Cool. That is definitely the same rare box with many of the same pieces. Yours is only the second one I’ve seen.👍
Here is a black oxide set I picked up mostly to get the crossbar. They are often missing. The sockets were probably all original to the set with the same detent ball holes in all of them. 1554C08A-99DE-485A-881A-297553C2391D.jpeg017ACD18-519D-4813-8B0E-D73B872441F4.jpeg3B69017E-073A-4577-AC00-2213FB2938C1.jpegC1D63EF0-68EA-4697-BE9B-4D1D66A39B29.jpeg

Found a couple of interesting Walden tools at sales today. This might be a late war drag link bit based on it’s similar appearance to late war 1/4” drive sockets.34C101C4-4CBE-47C7-B591-6EBEAF0EFD0E.jpeg1B14EA2F-4119-442C-8AF0-A0738CD43058.jpeg
I don’t often find Walden wrenches but I found this DOE today.7A5F8030-9C2A-4977-AB0D-F99FAFA8F085.jpeg40AFA837-B76D-4912-B56E-F03B641C6AAD.jpeg

Found this set in my school’s abandoned wood shop, has a mix of cheap **** and a few Duro-Idestros. Just thought I would share it.

If you want I would be happy to take those Duro Indestro sockets off your hands. I can trade you correct Walden sockets to go with your box. Would you like to send me a list of your Duro Indestro sockets?

I spotted this dark finish Walden 1/4” drive ratchet on eBay. Looking closely at the pictures in the listing I noticed that the directional lever was missing. I pointed out the lack of lever to the seller and made a low offer which was eventually accepted. It arrived today and I pulled the lever off of a donor ratchet.

Here is a partial 1/4” drive Walden set that I hadn’t seen before. I found it at an estate sale on Friday. I filled it out with similar appearing pieces that I had on hand but when I tried to check the Internet for the correct content, I couldn’t find any catalogs that showed the set.

When this dark finish extension came up on my eBay search, I wasted no time pushing the button. They don’t show up very often.

I have a lot of Walden Worcester from the early years. This is the only example I have seen of a wrench like this. Both sides 7/16”, deep on the offset end.
