Is it common for entire threads to be deleted?

I read the rules, I still didn't understand why that thread was deleted. As a newcomer, I'm trying to figure out the lay of the land

I really have no clue as to what kind of value could be added to a thread about seeing a business close.

Band Camp *****, heed the warning shots that were fired. Just lay back and watch til you get a taste of the flavor.

The advice here is excellent when it's in regards to garages, tools, and mechanical things.....

Yep totally understand. Not at all..... arguing or debating the merit of the moderation style. I get it, especially nowadays. Just didn't want to end up in the crosshairs myself. It looks like I'm in the scope, but I think I have enough room to dart away

Essh idk. Probably not worth emotionally investing in threads. I have paragraphs of **** typed up for that thread that, had I known would be flat out deleted I would not have taken the time to type up

It's not the glorious amongst us that invest emotionally, it's our worshippers.

That happens too... Ask me know I know.
I think it takes more time to edit one down, I saw Ryan do one recently. It was a good discussion, it just dipped into name-calling.

I like the fact that there are rules in place, and enforced. It's sad actually that they have to police us like an adult daycare.

I'm on other forums that are not, pretty sad to see the way adults behave, some just can't help themselves. It's really quite simple to skip over a thread, skip replying to something that incites you, or anything else that somehow promotes you to behave poorly.
