alinc100, nice scores especially the Wright metric set, I like that style of Wright's. Well done2 sales today,I left the 1st one empty-handed but filled a bag at the 2nd. pretty much NOS Craftsman metric wrenches,a mixed Thorsen/Action socket set(SAE) ,and the Wright Metric combos.
Thanks , I think I have the matching SAE set to these. I'm 100% positive its a denim roll, I'll look tomorrow and see. They might be wrightgrip 1.0alinc100, nice scores especially the Wright metric set, I like that style of Wright's. Well done![]()
With KEYS!!!!!Picked up four small Craftsman side box / tool caddies yesterday at an estate sale.
My thoughts as well.Wow! With all the bad press carnivals have earned over the years (ride safety), it's refreshing to see that SOMEONE was equipped to do the job properly.
Mike
Wow. Nice score! Those things go for a mint on the web.

I've seen a couple of those types. One was a Bell System tool for burnishing contacts in a switch. Almost smooth
Some nice finds there Don! I can't recall ever seeing T-wrench universals.

I guess I don't know. What's BBL?you know, the BBL botox wife and her hubby. Just lingering around trying to act like they’re helping but really there being loud and obnoxious.
Brazilian **** lift.I guess I don't know. What's BBL?
Is that like ***, they usually don't need to get Botox.
A new one for this thread like TOO?Ah! Gulf Coast here. So I guess Im too use to the booty and athleasure pants to notice the amount of proper lift. I know that's a thing with gals here.Brazilian **** lift.A new one for this thread like TOO?
I think I did good this morning. After all, I set out to just walk the baby and hit upon a garage sale on our route. An old widow’s sale. There was all stuff in the driveway plus everything in the garage.
The baby was gracious enough to let me look for 15 mins or so. Prices were good. I made a pile and promised to return with my wallet, which the lady was cool with.
Did I mention I was the only one there? This was at like 9am -9:30 am. Thank goodness, because when I drove back by myself immediately after the walk to pay, there were about a half dozen of the most annoying neighbors and customers I’ve ever run into! I wanted to dig some more and really only shared the tool area with two older handymen. I took my time looking.
The others were:
-an older couple who didn’t want anything, just wanted to ask about it and complain about prices.
-…. a supposed woman neighbor, looking everything up on her phone, and I mean everything. Asking what tools were so she could look them up. I let the other guys deal with her.
- the annoying couple next door, with the big house, you know, the BBL botox wife and her hubby. Just lingering around trying to act like they’re helping but really there being loud and obnoxious. I see these people on the street all the time and they seem annoying.
-Last but not least, the widow’s friend, who was super loud and obnoxious too, and had a fight with some repair people on her phone right in front of all of us. Then threw a fit complete with a weird shriek when she hung up.
-mystery neighbor woman
Then the weirdest thing happened. I missing the initial conversation while looking around, but I hear the new mystery woman enter the garage and ask something. Then she asks to borrow a glass or a mug from inside the woman’s house. As she and the old lady go inside, I’m left with just the the annoying old friend, and the ebay looker upper. The others had left. I turn and say “Who needs to borrow a mug? She has all these cups for sale.”. A whole table full in fact. The women were like “Oh, that’s another neighbor.” I was like o….k. The old woman comes out alone after several minutes and the other woman whose face I didn't see never came back out. Who do I feel as though this lady’s house was being ripped off? I mean, the woman clearly knew what she was doing as far as the sale went, a d prices. However, all these neighbors lingering around were very distracting and suspicious. Only three actual customers the entire time.
I paid for another few small items and split.
Sorry for the long winder.

A Plomb punch and a Plumb hammer

I think this is one of their fits-all type wrench pliers
Yes in some perfect scenario it may be optium over channellock or vise grips , but it would seem to be a last resort type of tool. I think Sears may have engineered it as a Father's Day gift for the Dad you might be mad atYep, I had never seen one so assumed Crimper.
They ain't kidding - "you need "Max Access!"
Japanese Type 30 bayonet for Arisaka rifles, mid-late WWII. Made by National Denki (now Panasonic) under supervision by the Kokura arsenal.The Bayonet I need to ID, I'm not families with it's markings. The Autolite carbide lamp is super clean insiode and out and may not have been used, but the bottom rim is dinged up like someone used it as a hammer? And the tiny "lantern" I think is a syrup container based on the ingredients molded into the glass:

**I was just thinking about how I need to put out a psa reminder for the thread. Between a new job, and other family/life duties, I've been a busy dude so I certainly haven't been as active of a host as I would like to be for sure!**No Excuse, Sir! Well, other than to say I immediately thought Jeff's clock would be a perfect Picker Of The Year Award, but didn't want to tread on any toes. But now that I think about it, it's already November and our host, @Smokeshow69, has been pretty quiet about that particular end-of-year activity.
To catch up with my own accusations of Suckage, I call out:
@d42jeep for his free-sale vintage auto battery tester;
@bluebolt for his Remington R1613 knife;
@Private Lugnutz for his non-shooting Shooting Stick;
@oak_park for another S-K haul;
@RTM for his $30 haul;
and @Fred Knox for his vintage tool bonanza!
As for myself, the only things I have to show are this Goodell-Pratt No. 676 screwdriver and a Lufkin No. 74C thread gage.
The gage has a Jan 27, 1925 patent date and cost $1.
The driver has a Pat. Appl'd For stamp and was patented in 1922. It was in such bad shape with rust and a bent shaft that they threw it in for free. More pics and story at the Let's Show Our Wood thread here.

I'd bet some were there 5-6 am.I didn't have that much ambition,nor even enough to get a number/placeholder in line. I'll go back tomorrow as it is 1/2 off and dig thru the leftovers but I came home with this:

** As lesserstore said, Japanese Arisaka. I have one my grandfather brought back from Okinawa(type 99). It's a very well made early war rifle.Well, I broke out of the doldrums for sales around here, mostly due to the local Col Flea and one estate sale, but I'll take it!
I did pass on a cool Simpson 3" machinists vise I liked at the FM, but it was more $$ that I wanted to part with.
First stop was an early estate sale, I was hoping for some camp gear selection, but it was semi modern nylon tents, and a cot. But I did pick up a piece of my childhood for $5; the storage cans aren't quite my vintage (I had metal lids) but the logs are still the same:
The Flea was good, most came from one seller who had decent prices for the most part:
The Bayonet I need to ID, I'm not familiar with it's markings. The Autolite carbide lamp is super clean insiode and out and may not have been used, but the bottom rim is dinged up like someone used it as a hammer? And the tiny "lantern" I think is a syrup container based on the ingredients molded into the glass:
Bayonet markings:
Same seller but later on as they were still setting up; for the frame, the picture frame was what I wanted. I have a couple with similar designs, SWMBO collects old photos so that goes to her. Then the brass Magnifier stand, and the little socket is a 9/32 drive, Plvmb "Wright Field" (WF) 5/16 socket. I don't have many 9/32 drive pieces.
Last bit from the Flea - a Craftsman Crimper - 3/4 - 1/2 capacity:
Another Estate sale - I had hopes for this one as the pics had a vise half buried on a shelf, and that was what drew me in - unfortunately it was an Asian Vise; but some of the other stuff made up for it.
The Spokeshave has "Made in USA" and "No. 51", so I think Stanley? A Plvmb, "Lawsuit grind off" DOE, Unbranded Ice pick, SO scraper, older SK ratchet and Craftsman Socket, Klein ratcheting cable cutter, and a set of Craftsman Ignition wrenches.
2 4" clamps brands are Adjustable, and Malleable, a point for a leg, maybe a transit? and a tiny oil can that after I got home I discovered was marked "SINGER" so I'm jazzed about that.
And last for the Estate sale, a Makita 4" grinder, it may be able to go 4-1/2" but the sanding disks are 4":
And one TOO that paid off - a Tupperware that will fit 9" Paper plates - I have a much deeper, slightly larger one that I use that will hold both the larger Chinets we and the 9" flimsies like this we as liners (the heavy Chinets get reused), but Its in the TT. I'll use this one for weekend trips and add 2-4 aluminum plates I have form camp pot sets and line those with the 9" plates.
