I am considering these too. We also just completed the house garage with a polyurethane that we think looks great. After talking with some others we will likely do Tiles in the new shop.
We live in Colorado so we are thinking about the snow too.
Specifically, I have samples of Racedeck XLC / Diamondplate and the Swisstrax Ribtrax Pro / VinylTrax. They seem very similar with small differences. We believe we would be satisfied with either alternative. Some of the differences - not sure whether better or not - just different.
- Racedeck has larger 18" format vs. 15.75" format - both are approx. 3/4 inch thick
- Racedeck has flattened top vs. Swisstrax rounded - I kneeled on both and equally uncomfortable.

- Racedeck has a glossier finish vs matte finish of swisstrax
- Swisstrax seems easier to put together and separate - may help for annual cleaning.
- Swisstrax has two additional diagonal line across the top of the tile in addition to the square pattern - a bit busier
- Swisstrax has more injection points showing on the surface
- Swisstrax has a better written warranty on some tiles "Lifetime" on Ribtrax Pro product vs 15 yrs for Racedeck
- Racedeck seems a bit more "hard" plastic / stiffer vs. Swisstrax - both are hard plastic
- Samples - Racedeck sends free - SwissTrax irritatingly charges $20 for each two tiles...we are doing nearly 1750 sq ft.
- Racedeck invented the idea / both companies have a great reputation
- My experience, getting a good price from Swisstrax has been a bit more challenging and initial pricing is 10-15% higher.
Hope this helps. We did not consider the Chinese alternatives....
