Fixed it Roger.

Where I am in Wisconsin, we've been well above average (and normal) temperatures and below normal snowfall this year. And our son in Pueblo Colorado has had near record low temps and more snow than usual. And summers are getting weird too.Weird weather around here the past few winters.
The blizzard of 78 in Mass was the best winter of my life. Bumper skiing, sledding, tunnels in the snow drifts, snow forts, 20 person snow ball wars. I could go on and on.lolWhite stuff? That's just a couple of inches of nuisance snow we got last week, which changed to freezing rain before the temps took a nosedive, now it's basically solid ice.
We got this 8-to-10-inch storm the week before, but it melted within a few days.

Yup, its cool seeing nothing but snowmobiles going down Main Street.lolIIRC, that was the first time classes were weather cancelled at Purdue (est. 1869) ever! We were playing ice hockey on main drag in our sneakers and the only vehicles that were moving were snowmobiles hauling cases of beer.
Awesome for your kids, more work for you.lolI was in RI for that. No snowblowers, so Dad had to hand-shovel that mess (I was 8, so no help). The state of RI (and most cities within) were completely unprepared to deal with that snow. Most roads, including the interstates, were untouched for days or longer.
We saw the National Guard out trying to help, with loaders, supply trucks and even helicopters.
We also saw a few snowmobiles zipping around.
As for us, we trudged to the grocery store with a toboggan to carry the food home. My sister was only 6, don't ask me why Mom and my sister didn't just stay home for that!
It was fun to make a fort out of a big pile of snow.
The best winter for my boys was 2015. After multiple 6-20+ inch storms in a row, we had something like 4 feet of snow on the ground (at my current house in MA). With my snowblower, I'd made paths around the house, and out to the wood piles. That was basically a 3D maze for the boys (and over their heads), and they spent hours out there running around with Tonka trucks, etc. Endless sledding as well.

Yeea man! I was in Worcester for the blizzard of 78. 45 years ago! Jeeezzuuss. The blizzard of 78 in Mass was the best winter of my life. Bumper skiing, sledding, tunnels in the snow drifts, snow forts, 20 person snow ball wars. I could go on and on.lol
That first pass was impressive .Plowing driveway, Boston, 2015
I remember the winter of 2015. That was just the first big storm--dropped 36" in my driveway. Let's see if the video plays for you all. I got stuck after the first pass, and those snow humps are buried cars in the driveway.

I think we had two weeks off..lolThe Blizzard of '78. You mean the time the Governor of the Commonwealth ordered all the schools closed on a bright sunny day despite every road in Western Mass having been cleared the day before? We were waiting for the school bus for an hour wondering why it hadn't come, until somebody came by and said there was no school. That was nice. Then Weld? Cellucci? did it again in the late 90s, and ordered everything closed statewide. The mayor of Pittsfield was asked on the radio about the blizzard that had "shut down the Entire State", and said "We finished cleaning all the roads last night. Brodie is open. I'm going skiing." I was living near Greenfield at the time. We had gotten 20-30 inches, but everything was clear. Good advice that mayor. Blue Sky Day.
Was that 1996? Incapacitated SE PA for days. Lack of functioning snow-removal equipment and funding for overtime held Allentown snowbound. Emergency services couldn’t get around. My neighbor and I joked about the opportunity for unchecked larceny, but stayed home with our wives. I remember a blizzard back then too. Had to be 96. We were home from school on a sunny day playing down on the corner atop the plowed pile that was up to the second story of the house. Biggest piles we ever had were that year. Made for some great King Of The Mountain. Was that 1996? Incapacitated SE PA for days. Does this looks like those small snap-on toolboxes that seems to be desirable?this for $3: (It's been sitting in electrolysis overnight, has several layers of green and blue paint over the original red.) Couple more days and I'll be able to see what it is and if it's worth restoring.

I think so. Too much paint to see if it's stamped with # and info; it is an earlier non-embossed logo one if it is. Interior partitions slightly different than usual. After I get the paint off, I'll be able to tell more. It works correctly and not all beat up and bent, so would restore easily if no other damage emerges from under the paint. Was being used as an art materials box, and was multi coat sprayed with the **** paint you get at hobby/decorating stores.Does this looks like those small snap-on toolboxes that seems to be desirable?
I suspect you’re correct. I have them soaking and spent a bit of time cleaning up the 3/8 hex driver. These were in a little zippered pouch covered in years of dust!!Those sockets look like a set I have that came with my craftsman labeled battery powered hex bit driver. Good for the tool it came with, or a manual powered hex bit driver. I forget if they have a name

Welcome!
You ****!
SC, there are some nice pieces in there. Welcome to the garage sale thread!
Seconded!
Nice shop set up, OR!Still in the January doldrums here in S.A. It's been so long since I went to a decent sale, I went against my better judgment and drove an hour out to a Kerrville sale run by The Golden Girls. It's pure slander on my part, but I believe they got their name from pricing everything as if it were made of Gold. As for tools, and garage items in general, they are also one of those companies that appear to grab handfuls of mismatched and barely related items, toss them in a baggie and slap an anally-extracted ebay price on it.
I resolve (once again...) to refrain from attending their sales.
On a happier note, my nephew just bought his first house north of Dallas, and as a house warming gift, I sent him this S-K Wayne #4521 Socket Set from early Dresser era (’68-’69?) that I found several years ago and fleshed out with the missing pieces--plus a couple more. Of course, I failed miserably to take a picture of it before I packed it up. He has no tools so he was very happy to receive them.
I texted him this picture and said if he would ever come down to S.A. for a visit, he might leave with a tool chest and some other choice items. I'm not holding my breath.

The solid red handles were considered a budget line, pre 2000 I think. Not like the blue clear Phillips and red clear flat head screwdrivers, but a step down.
